Try to contact the outside world. If I know that such an effort is futile, I'd probably just try to become as physically fit as possible. There's really not anything else to do.

Last year my birthday was bittersweet, as it was the last day of freedom I had before I left for Combat Training, which was 3 weeks of boooring.

Open 7. As a townie, I arbitrarily strong-armed a lynch on a player, then precisely picked out who the scum *actually* were based on reactions and interactions. Town wins, perfect game.

No glaring examples come to mind, but I'm sure I've blundered a lot as townie.

Mini 518 Simon. Scummates with Ibby and PJ. It was so damn fun, too. I fake claimed to be the fumigator, PJ pretended to roleblock me, Ibby feinted doctor, it was a load of fun, and we won perfectly.

Newbie 198, by a long shot. Put my scumbuddy at Lynch-1 on Day 1 early on. The newb townies knew that a smart IC player wouldn't do that if they were town and lynched me. Scum lost.

For three months, I had combat instructors (who are nowhere near as intimidating as a drill instructor) ask me "What's your Job?". When I said "Water Purification", the would say, "Oh, just like Paulie Shore". And my fellow recruits would say the same thing. I had no idea what people were talking about, so in the one week I was back from bootcamp, I bought it from BestBuy and watched it. I didn't expect much, and I wasn't disappointed.
