Giuseppe Smania, the mayor of Montescuro, was returning home late that day. He had to mediate yet another dispute between two elderly citizens in his village. The demand for their wine at the capital was getting smaller and smaller every year, and that did nothing to help the moods of the few remaining inhabitants.

However, these petty troubles disappeared from his mind when he found the door to his house swinging loosely. Inside the cottage, broken furniture, bullet holes, and the bodies of his two daughters and wife.

In shock, Giuseppe did not notice a shadow creeping up behind him.

Rules: (Adapted from The Fonz)

0.) Be civil. This is a game. Personal attacks are punishable by modkill.

1.) This game is a day start. Day one will start when everyone has confirmed via PM. Any group which has an ability to communicate at night may also communicate before the first day begins.

2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes must be in the form Vote: Player otherwise they won't be counted. Players do not need to unvote when switching their votes, but it would be appreciated. All votes and unvotes must be in bold. It is also possible to vote no-lynch.

3.) When a player (or abstract concept) reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their role, and the game will move into night. No discussion takes place during the night, except amongst roles who have been given specific permission to do so.

4.) An automatic deadline of 1 month is set from the day opening post. Players may request a deadline extension. The mod may or may not grant the extension (having multiple players ask for it helps). At the deadline, the number of votes necessary for a lynch will be cut by half.

5.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread, unless your role permits it.

6.) Once dead, you stop posting. You may post a single bah post, without game-relevant content.

7.) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

8.) Try to post as often as possible. Treat the game as a commitment. If you go inactive, you will be replaced.

9.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time.

10.) Do not in any way quote or fakequote your role PM. This is a modkillable offence. Any attempt to ascertain another players' role from the wording of their PM will be dealt with likewise.

evenings at the mayor's house, drinking the wine. Life was boring, and it
was good. Until the senseless killings began. Now the mayor is dead,
the mayor's family is dead, and everyone spends their nights
locked up in their homes, hoping to wake up alive next morning.

The citizens of Montescuro gather in the main square after having found the bodies in the Mayor's cottage. Everyone is angry, and blame starts to fly around.

Day 1 has begun, with 12 alive, it is 7 to lynch. Initial deadline is April, 23rd, 8am GMT.
