Mini 566: Justice League Mafia Game Over

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Fri Feb 22, 2008 5:25 am

Post by Mr_Gnome_It_All »

It's a quiet day at the Justice League HQ. When you're suddenly blinded and knocked unconscious by a flash of light. You later awaken in a strange place, it's bright and your vision is a little blurry at first but you start to focus. You don't know where you are. As you look around you notice you are not alone. Twelve. There are a total of twelve here including yourself. But something seems odd about everyone. They all look the same. What kind of magic is this? Who brought you here? Who are all these other people? Where did they come from? For that matter,
when
did they come from? Why do they all look alike? You know who you are and yet you don't look like yourself either. It also seems that any powers that you may have had before your arrival will be limited for as long as you're here.

There's a sinister feeling in the air. A note is found on the ground. All it says is "Purge the evil to get home." You assume it means if you want to go home you have to kill whoever with you is evil. But how can you tell who is who? You no longer care who or what brought you here. All you want now is to go home. So you figure the best way to decide things would be democratically. That you will discuss things with each other and kill one person a day in hopes that you can find and eliminate this evil that the note speaks of. But there are obviously those with you who will do whatever it takes to get out of here by themselves. So you better hurry.

Players:

Singing Librarian
(replaces cicero)
Mirth

The Rules (stolen from MeMe)
:
  • Votes must be in
    bold
. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
  • Please be attentive and
    unvote
, if necessary, before casting a new vote. This is not
    required
    , but I’d appreciate it.
  • Executions will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. You may
    vote: no lynch
    - majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.
  • The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.
  • Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. Stop typing.
  • Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts
  • Don’t quote any PMs from me.
  • If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. I will not wait for you - if you do not submit a choice to me, tough! No choice will be made.
  • If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread.
Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate - don’t leave us hanging.
  • Remember, it’s a game. It’s supposed to be played. It’s supposed to be
    fun
    . Do your part.

And Day 1 Begins.

I'm giving J-Man 48 hours until I start seeking a replacement.

Hello everyone, I feel proud to stand here beside you today.
We all need to pull together to root out the evil among us.
It is fitting that we use the great American power of democracy to deal with this threat.
There is no greater force in the world than that of justice and free speech.
My vote at this time goes to actr.
Vote: actr

The reason? Just because you can vote someone, doesn't mean you should.
We should cherish the freedoms that so many have sacrificed so much for, and not risk throwing them away just because we can.
Perhaps I am really just voting at random, but we must be careful.
I hope that J-man appears soon and we can get moving.
So, let us stand together to defeat this evil. God bless us all.

Please, please don't group America and democracy without some reference to sarcasm, irony or jokes.

mmm... I think I see where you guys might be coming from. Maybe not. Anyway, it looks like a rather blatant breadcrumb to me. Which is weird. I've been known to breadcrumb but it's usually a bit more subtle than that. :p
