I think that by "7 pm hour" he meant that the show aired at some point between 7 and 8 pm, not that the show was an hour long.

Of course, that could only be true in the Eastern and Pacific time zones at best, as that hour is prime time television elsewhere. And some places air Wheel (and/or Jeopardy) earlier than the final hour before prime time anyway.

Actually on the west coast they slow Jeopardy by 1/2 speed and show it over the course of an hour.

I actually enjoy slower challenges. Taking a week for something to finish isn't too bad in my opinion, but then again, I'm a mafia player, so.

slow challenges are good when everyone is involved. they're less fun for the elimination things where most people are waiting

Eliminations should take a maximum of 4 days, ideally, since that's prod range for mafia games, more or less, with some extra generosity.
