of course ranked games are better than normal games. the quality of games is much better, but i prefer to be detached from my games. my ranked progress matters less than my ability to 'warm up' my mechanics. i easily lose 'warmth' due to work/commitments and it causes me to play a full tier below where i belong. it's really annoying to get crushed by golds when the games should 'matter'. to me the quantity of games i can play matters more than the quality, and if i'm not having fun i won't play at all.

by the way if anyone wants to play some norms i'm usually on late night/morning on NA. i mainly play support or top. i'm going to try to get a hold of zoraster to get onto the club list but pm me if you're impatient.

the issue with support is that it (a) doesn't do damage (b) if your team gets behind there isn't a huge amount you can do if the rest of your team is giving up

Support is the impact role in bot lane since generally the ADC isn't able to do anything with a garbage support unless they outskill the enemy bot lane significantly.

Even then, there's plenty you can do on support to carry, mainly because you really have more agency than anyone else to play around whoever on your team is strong and forcing them to carry you and the rest of your team. Support is generally one of the leader roles too since you have the most control over what information your team and the enemy team has throughout the game.

my jg blitz generally has less than 1 cs per minute and less xp and gold than my support

I still carry np

the issue isn't the damage/impact the supports have, it's the perception.

pls don't talk about velkoz support so he wont get nerfed. i played him throughout season 4&5 as he was so sleeper

same thing thats happening to singed right now too many people playing him gonna get him nerfed

In the current meta, this is very much false.

A lot of the game is decided by bot lane right now, and the hilariously ironic part is that it's not because bot lane itself is strong, but because bot lane is so weak that it's easy to create advantages for the rest of the team just by abusing the enemy bot lane. Jungle just happens to be the best role to take advantage of that.

Support isn't as reliant on personally doing well as the ADC is. If the rest of your team is fairly strong and can tango with the enemy team pretty well, then you can still have a pretty big impact by giving them the tools they need to succeed even if your ADC is garbage enough to be a waste of time investing into.
