My thoughts:
First of all, thank you to everyone who participated in the game. a 50-page mini is respectful, even if days were short
. And a 10-paged dead thread..
(you can see some in the mod PT as the game got along)
1. Dwlee totally deserves the win. Somehow, he managed to go under the radar of EVERYONE. I think only Magna eventually realized it, probably after FAQ2's death - until then he was sure there was a traitor!. This is remarkable - he did not even need his abiility. Like, literally, he could win this game with only his even-night shot, despite managing to use it only once.
2. MoI is brilliat. I incredibly enjoyed watching him play, along with the PMs I got from him. He also spotted the scumslip by Dom, and chose not to kill him, only to utilize this for towncred later when lynching. BTW I noticed that slip first
His fault was claiming a survivor. If he just claimed informed townie, with easy flavor - police informant - He may very well have won the game.
3. which brings us to - I didn't give fakeclaims. Next game (GTA3 or GTASA) I will explicitly do that. I expected the scum and SKs to do some reserch - there is LOADS of gta information on google, there are multiple wikis, etc. Sadly, that didn't happen, and claims were subpar.
4. I have no idea how Titus got ran up D1. at all. When she finally claimed VT, I knew it was the end, because despite site meta, VT claims often get lynched, and especially in a role madness it is a safe lynch. Shoulda thought this better.
5. Completely and utterly disappointed from two people: Dom and Jeanne. I'm not letting Jeanne into more of my games. lurksack in multiple events. Dom said he sucks playing scum, and that is kinda a trust tell, so he should work on that or this can compromise his game everywhere. His play was lurky, bad, slipping and not deserving the extremely awesome role he got.
6. The endgame was exihilerating (sp?). I ENJOYED SO MUCH. The quicklynches hurt town - as they always do - but the maneuvers MoI has gotten into to push town towards it were amazing. Dwlee again slipped under everyone and supported all mislynches. Town was in ALL the wrong directions - like - there was one night where town roleblocked three different townies with 4 alive! like whut!
7..talking about which - I can't understand how no crosskills, no interruptions, almost nothing in this entore role madness worked against any of the scum factions. Except for Dwlee's kill being blocked, which would hit town anyway, this was amazing. Town's nightly choices were opposite of what they should have been, and it was really funny, like an even night SK being blocked on all odd nights and the odd nights SK being blocked on even nights xD
8.The GTA2 banner didn't get used much, and so did the poison not. But it was fine regardless of this. Blackstar proved to be the main town power, and he just missed the nights on the SKs sometimes.
9. DK's role was clearly the most swingy role in the setup. The target was a random town. They pushed the lyncher part soooooo vehemently that it hurt town. I was impressed at the start, it could definitely work and make them town's best asset - but Jeanne got replaced and Ranger played beautifully. BEAUTIFULLY. If DK was more pointed to finding scum, and LATER making sure his target gets dead, he would have better chances. BUT, this definitely was the hardest role in the game, and in hindsight, it is probably too hard. I mean, if target is lynched, then it only has to outlive Dom and Titus - not the SKs. if target dies in some other way - then he has to outlive the SKs too, which makes him just a townie, but a townie who has to survive. they did have a BP, though. I dunno.
Overall, the setup is balanced in my opinion. it is a mindfuck for EVERYONE, and it came out brilliantly. The gameplay was awesome.
