Mini 515 - The Pine Barrens - Game Over!

The Pine Barrens is an isolated and heavily forested area of Southern New Jersey, a sharp contrast to the hustle and highways that many of us are familiar with. Nothing will grow in the soil and fires are frequent making this one of the eeriest landscapes on the East Coast. The Jersey Devil, part-demon and part-animal is said to haunt these parts, but perhaps that's just a rumor.

Our grisly scene begins with the death of one of your own. The entire town, which was once thirteen citizens, is now down to a meager twelve.

Someone says, "Maybe it was the Jersey Devil!"

Someone Else says, "There's no such thing. Besides, The Jersey Devil is too thematic for a Mini Normal."

"What?"

"Never mind."

This might be an isolated town, but this is still New Jersey. It seems that some of your own have turned against you, making this the latest battleground in the continuing war between the Mafia and the citizenry.

You all sit down to calmly discuss the situation. After a while, though, that gets boring. Someone says, "Why don't we just lynch people until the problem stops?"

Someone Else says, "That's a great idea!"

And so it begins.

Rules
(Stolen and modified from somestrangeflea, believe it or not.)

General

* If you disagree with something the mod has done, or have a question about the game, feel free to PM.
* Do not quote your role PMs to prove your innocence. Paraphrasing is acceptable, and if you are uncertain as to what is acceptable, PM me to check. Violators will be modkilled.
* A majority of the votes is required to lynch a player. Votes are made in the format
Vote: Playername
(in bold). Votes that are not in this format will not count.
* Please
Unvote
(also in bold) before voting a different player. This rule will not be enforced as strictly as the previous one, but it helps me count, so please!
* Do not dIscuss this game outsIde this thread, unless you have a role which allows this, and even then, only at night and only with the designated players.
* If you're dead, you're dead, and since the dead aren't alive, you're dead. Stop posting. I will not complain about a single "Bah!" post that contains no game content, but I would prefer you didn't say anything at all.
* If you have moderating powers in this forum, do not edit or delete the posts of either yourself or another player. If you are caught, you will be modkilled.
* Please avoid using too many fancy text tags. If you start using colors or tiny text or using bold for something other than voting or messages to the moderator, then you may be asked to stop.
* Have fun! Don't take the game personally, and don't flame other players.

Day, Night, Twilight and Daybreak

* During the Day phase, players will discuss and vote until a player has been lynched. You can vote for there to be No-Lynch, but this also requires a majority of votes.
* Once the vote required to reach a majority has been cast, that person is dead. Unvoting will not undo the lynch, and the game will enter the Twilight phase.
* During the Twilight phase, players are still allowed to discuss, but votes will be ignored. The Twilight phase has an indeterminate length of time, as it is simply the length of time between the actual lynching vote, and the death scene/thread lock. The game then proceeds to the Night phase.
* During the Night phase, any players who have powers which can be used at night can use their powers. This includes, but is not limited to, Mafia sending in their kill. The night phase has a deadline for actions, normally of around 3 real-life days. If you do not wish to make a choice, please send in "No Choice". If the deadline passes, and players who have a choice have not sent in a choice, all players who have not sent in a choice including those who do not have a choice, will be Nightprodded. Players will have 2 days to respond, and will be replaced if they do not, regardless of alignment.
* Daybreak follows Night, and is simply the period between the Nightchoice deadline and the thread being opened for Day to begin. Nightprods are sent during this time, and any choices sent during this time will be ignored.

Inactivity, Prods and Deadlines

* Lurking is not allowed as a strategy in this game, as it is highly likely to slow the game down to a halt. Any player who becomes inactive will be prodded after one week, and will be replaced if there are no posts after two weeks of inactivity.
* If the thread activity falls too low, a deadline will be set.

Please read the above rules carefully, as a number of factors vary depending on the size and type of the game being played.

Role PMs are going out right now. Please confirm in thread by posting a message that says "/confirm" and nothing else.

Once all twelve players have confirmed, I will give the go-ahead and the game will begin.

The Mafia may communicate during the confirmation stage.

Here is the vanilla Townie Role PM:
Townie wrote:Role: Townie
Rules: Every day you must vote to lynch one of your own, or vote for No-Lynch. You have no other special powers. You win with the town.
Flavor: Ah. The life of a townie. You always thought this little town was a nice place to live because, if you lived in one of those big cities, you think you’d be much more interesting. And being interesting is a lot of work! It’s much more fun to blend into the background.

The thread is here:
http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=790366
Please confirm in thread.

I know this is the comfirmation stage, but do we get a breakdown of roles/possible roles?

Number of Mafia would be helpful. Unless this game is played different, I am a little new here.

This is a closed setup. I cannot tell you what the mix of roles is. However, I can direct you to the definition of a "Normal" game and the setup definitely falls within these parameters:

http://www.mafiascum.net/cgi-bin/wiki.p ... Definition

The number of Mafia is at least one and less than twelve.

All players have confirmed. The game is now afoot.

12 alive means it takes 7 votes to lynch someone.
