Sorry if there's already a Cali thread, quick search turned up nothing.

I have a phone interview for a full-time position in San Fran, so I'm trying to feel out whereabouts I should plant my feet if I get the gig. Anyone familiar with the area? Looking primarily at Oakland, San Mateo and San Rafael metro areas, will either commute via my auto or by public transport depending on the situation / availability.

Thanks in advance.

I think I've narrowed it down to Burlingame, San Leandro and Concord. Also probably going to commute via public transport as the business is just south of Tenderloin and frankly I don't feel like risking the auto theft / burglary that appears rampant in the area.

What are you exactly asking about

Me and AP are right in the bay area and there are a couple scummers over in Sac

Hooray I won't be alone

It's looking possiblylikely I will be getting the position. I shall keep you posted.

But basically I'm asking where it is affordable to live and still be a decent metro commute time into the city.

Don't feel bad you get to stay on the east coast.

This makes me think we need to figure out some couple day get together between the Sac and Bay Area groups sometime.

I went to a wedding there this summer and it was significantly nicer than I thought it was going to be.

Don't worry it's only a bullet wound in your stomach.

Bumping this, if anyone needs assistance due to the fires, let us know. We might not be able to do everything but we can see what we can do. People as far north as Sacramento are buying firemasks and generators. I'm willing to do what I can from up here.

I'm not bumping the old NorCal thread but this will be enough.

Should we make this the unofficial Cali meetup thread or is there a better one?

I am comin' back! Currently looking at September 10th in San Diego, probably looking to live in Little Italy this time.

Is anyone else in the area? I remember Panzerjager. But I will be down to venture up north as well.

I'm not sure if there's a better thread? Didn't know this one existed though.
