I'm not gonna quote it as i think it has something to do with the game and may affect me if I do, but what does everyone think of Thyroid's RenFair thing. I mean, if thats a RL thing, thing whatever, but it just seems weird, and what with this being a designer game, I'm curious what other people think.

I can easily forsee a role along the lines of 'persuade every member of the town to say a certain word/quote a certain message, and you win'. The equivalent of a neutral role i guess.

I'm not biting.

Actually, the thing that immediately sprang to mind when I read that was the post restriction games, specifically Small Furde Guy who was a townie who powered up based on how many people said Small Furde.

However, I could see a similar mechanic for scum (or a cult) and as such I think the best thing to do is work out Thyroid's alignment before we commit.

My role as a cult seems a bit dumb. It's a potentially swingy role that could end the game on night one. To be honest, would anybody be stupid enough to design that? Would MoS be stupid enough to put that into the game?

A "I keel you if you buy!!!!!" is also pretty silly. I doubt MoS would want his roles destroyed all in one night.

And let's face it, an alt win condition based around this is rather uncreative.

If its a all quote, thyro wins role, I cannot see the problem with quoting since Zoneface and Battle Mage won't vote. And that's the only non-town role I can think of to this.

Shocking that you've been here since 2005 and you still believe this is scummy. Frankly unless you can back up that voting without stating a reason at first is a scumtell (not explain why it may be, but with your experience why it is), I have a very hard time believing this is genuine.
