Newbie 1674 (Day 2, 43 pages) needs a replacement for Political Clout. This is a Newbie slot so anyone can replace in except for players already in their first game. Priority will be given to newer players. PM me to replace in!

As this is her first game, please remove her from the queue

Waiting for people to send me rulesets before I can launch the next game. (This is mostly my fault for waiting until the last minute to ask for them, though.)

I've decided to run ten more games with daytalk, and then to stop them completely (possibly replacing them with whatever we decide works better) after Newbie 1691.

What lilith said, but basically, ever since daytalk was adopted, the Mafia has won almost all their games. It's a pity, since daytalk seems to make being scum a more positive experience for newbies.

This is very intriguing. I wonder if there's a place for a collection of the finished games of mafia PTs , the games with daytalk. Maybe curious people like myself can thumb through them for the purpose of research.
From what I recall of 2 finished games with daytalk that I was in, it didn't look like there was anything groundbreaking discussed, compared to finished games without daytalk. Hmm.

General mafia games aren't swung
too
much by daytalk (yes, it helps scum over town, but for more experienced players it doesn't really make a difference).

However, in a newbie game, the scumteam is statistically most likely to contain at least one newbie, and potentially an SE/IC for the other slot. And, for a newbie, being able to be helped during the day on their first game of mafia is bound to help them wayyyy more than your average player (whether it be by another newbie or a more experienced player). This is probably the main reason why it has made it so scumsided for newbies in particular.

I would suggest just having newbie games be 10 players instead of 9, and having that tenth player be a VT.

Newbie 1681 needs a replacement for hasta_la_pasta. This is a newbie slot, so anyone except a newbie playing in their first game may replace into the slot. The game is on Day 1, page 9, and there's over 6 days until deadline. Let me know if you're interested in replacing in!
