I half expected this. The SK is on a timer, and he just put the town on one. Basically we have a 7 day deadline to lynch before he kills again. I expected him to kill as soon as possible so that he could kill again as soon as possible. However, I think this kill blew up in his face. Since he killed a mafia he now has to target townies or else he could end the game prematurely if town lynches a mafia and gets a scent...

I thought the rules read that he/she could only lynch if a week went by AND there had been a lynch.

As I read this, he can kill again if EITHER one week (real time) passes OR a lynch has occurred.

which I then take to mean, the SK is probably someone who just realized that the game started...of course, we dont know how long the request (day choice) was sitting in the Mod box...

2 questions and a thought:

Curiouskarmadog (do you have any preffered short version of your name?) why did you change your vote to deepsouth?

Thought: If the SK kills either every 7 days or every lynch, whichever comes first, then it would be in our best interest to try and time the lynchs to intervals of seven days based on when the serial killer strikes. So in order to minimize SK kills, if there is a lynch in the next week, that should happen about a few hours before Aug 19, 10 am EST. (I'm also guessing it will take 6 to lynch now, even though the first post doesn't say it)

I clearly said why I chose curiouskarmadog. I'll quote the post below for your convenience. Since d3sisted is dead, I considered it useful to switch my vote and not let it sit on a dead body - especially since we're on a time table. If we lynch after the serial killer kills, he gets another kill; at least that is how I understood the rule.
