An illegal cross-country road race is about to take place. Sponsors all across the world have selected racers to enter "The Race". The winner will recieve 32 million dollars... Prepare for excitement, adrenaline, disaster, friendship and betrayal. It's time, to DRIVE...

ORIENTATION

The game is extremely simple, and yet extremely complex. Each contestant will begin with

1000 Speed Points

. There will be a total of Nine Legs in which the racers will race to the check-point. The last racer at the check-point will be eliminated. Each leg the racers will select how many Speed Points they wish to use. The contestant who uses the lowest amount of Speed Points will be the last to cross the check-point and will be eliminated at that leg.

Whoever uses the most for a particular leg will be considered as coming in first for that leg. The first, second and third person on each leg will be given bonus Speed Points. First place will recieve 20 Speed Points, Second place will recieve 10 Speed Points, Third place will recieve 5 Speed Points.

I will not reveal how many points each contestant has used during each leg. I will, however, reveal who reached the check-point in what order (first, second, third, etc.). So that will give you (the racers) a small hint at how many Speed Points a person may have used.

You may talk with any of the other contestants during the course of the game (including eliminated contestants). You may use any strategy that you like.

In the even that there is a tie between how many points were used during a leg, whoever sent me their choice first will arrive at the check-point faster.

The sponsors will be selecting which racers they would like to enter the race. Only ten players will be contending (for the sake of the story, there are plenty of more racers, but the winner will ultimately come from the ten).

To apply fill out the following information and send it to me. Several sponsors will look at the application and pick which contenders they would like to "sponsor." The sponsor will NOT know which application belongs to who.

It is a vehicle for Redbull's Flugtag.

A Flugtag (German: flight day, airshow) is an event in which competitors attempt to fly in homemade flying machines. The flying machines are usually launched off a pier about 30 ft high into the sea (or suitably sized reservoir of water). Most competitors enter for the entertainment value, and the flying machines rarely fly at all. The first Flugtag took place in Austria in 1991, and the activity has recently gained much popularity as a result of Red Bull sponsored events in London, Nashville, Austin, Chicago, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Baltimore, New York City, San Francisco, Miami, Portland, Tempe, Antwerp, Berlin, Johannesburg, Milan, New Zealand, Stockholm, Israel, Lausanne, Lucerne, Dubrovnik, Hungary, Vancouver, and elsewhere. The first Red Bull Flugtag event in the United Arab Emirates took place on Friday, November 25, 2005 at Dubai Creek Park. A total of 36 teams were selected to take off.

I believe that, when made for going forward instead of going up, it could easily hit 70. A bumble bee flaps its wings 160 times per second. That is more torque can most of these vehicles

Also... Each contestant may choose to have a partner if they wish. You may change partners at any time. The purpose of your partner: Each leg will have a 48 hour deadline. The partner will send in a choice (for Speed Points used). The partner's choice will ONLY be used in the event you do not get your Speed Points in on time. If you do not get your submission for a leg in on time (and your partner did not send in a choice) then you will be replaced. I will NEVER accept submissions early. If you wish to select a partner, simply post so (and who) in the thread.

Your partner may be anybody on mafiascum.

Partners must confirm they are your partner.

Racers can kick their partner out at any time and select a new one if they wish.

Once contestants are eliminated, it is possible to partner with eliminated contestants.

You may not have more than one partner.
