i dont like that. you join a wagon, and then as soon as someone else hops on, you leave without a word.
I find myself substantially in agreement with Sir Tornado about the scum.

If Lawrencelot comes up scum, im almost certain that Gorckat is his scumbuddy.
If Lawrencelot comes up town, id say Pickemgenius is more likely to be scum.

Thadmiral looks either super-scummy, or super-noobish. Id say the latter is more likely at this point. He's not the play for today at least.

I am deeply suspicious of anyone who's agreeing with me early on in the game, especially when I haven't given enough solid reasons for stating whatever they are agreeing with me about. This sort of behaviour is, IMO a scum tactic -- where the scum tries to associate himself/herself with a townie early on in the game.

I didn't pin you as 100% jester. I said we should assume that you are the jester, until we would know better. Theres nothing wrong with assuming anyone is the jester until there are more possibilities. How could I ever be 100% sure, especially that early in the game?

Saying the scum are going to act like jesters to avoid lynch is WIFOM. If that were the SOP, then the right play is to always lynch the people who look like Jesters. Which means the real Jester also wants to be outrageously scummy to hopefully draw one of the lynches themselves.

True, but on the other hand, jesters could think that the town would think they're scum if they act like jesters, so they just act like jesters. But what's SOP?

* The Townies win if and only if they lynch all Mafia and do not lynch a Jester. (The game ends when all Mafia have been lynched.)
* The Mafia win if and only if they equal or exceed the remaining non-Mafia in the game, or if nothing can prevent the same.
* The Jester wins if and only if they are lynched.

My reading goes like this:

If town lynches the Jester, the town loses. If the town loses before the Mafia are (or can't be prevented from becoming) the majority, then the Mafia aren't the winners.

Actually, I think this might be a rare situation calling for a Day 1 No-Lynch. Why risk hitting a real Jester if Lawrence is scum?

the problem is, now all the scum can try the same policy and get away with it. Im also wary of trusting you, in light of my previous suspicions of you being scum with Lawrence, combined with this further attempt to save him.

but srsly, im not sure about a No-Lynch. to some extent it makes sense as we dont want to hit the Jester and lose on Day 1, but there again, im fairly confident that YB isnt the Jester. i mean, the real jester wouldnt make it so obvious surely???
