It's the year 2007 in New Vinci, Wisconsin. New Vinci is a quaint little Milwaukee suburb with a 100% Italian immigrant population. However, the two largest families, the Catalanos and the De Lucas, are having a bit of a spat. Turns out they have ties to the Mafia, and they've been rivals ever since their clan started immigrating to the United States. At first, they only wanted to kill

each other

; however, both families eventually realized that, to take over the town, they'd need to subdue the

entire

town, making it so that they both eradicated the other mob family and outnumbered the rest of the townspeople. Not a difficult task, at the town only had a population of 32. However, people started dropping like flies after a while. First, the mayor, Angelo Bartoli; next, Ludovico Sanna. Another died, and the entire Bentivegna family left town. The townspeople realized that they needed to find a way to end this threat. It was suggested that they adopt a method in which they have a town discussion during the day, then execute whomever they chose, by majority, at the day's end. It was fully accepted. Those who had some sort of personal abilities would also implement those at night to try and help in any way they could.

You are a citizen of New Vinci. You might be a normal townsperson; you might be one of those blessed with a natural or professional talent; you might even be one of the De Lucas or Catalanos yourself. Whatever you are, you must make the town safe for yourself.
