So far, it's been looking as if the SK kills just about anyone who posts non-italicized. Anything people want me to say to see if it will save us?

As I said earlier...I think it’s a matter of figuring out positive content that must be included, rather than negative content that must not be included.

That said, these Black-Box type games are difficult to play when the mod is away..so I'll await the thread's revival upon GreenLiquid's return.

The Central Scrutinizer walks into the room, exclaiming, "why does the serial killer always talk in the present continuous tense?!"
"You might very well think that; I couldn't
possibly
comment."

I could agree with the first part. MAYBE.

Looking at STD's post before though - he's typed every keystroke possible. And I have a bad feeling he'll die for it. Where do you think that puts us? (assuming he dies.) alternatively. If he lives through that post, how do we explore further which "key or keys" saved him?

I agree with the last part too. we'll be in a world of hurt if say I (for example) am really dead and I've posted all this info....

@grek

I do not think the dead may talk in italics.

Either you are part of the solution, or you are part of the problem. You can form two lines to make it easier for me, or I'll figure it out on my own. It is your call.

Sudo_Nym decided to eliminate the subjunctive case, and he saw that it were good.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

First, a note about the italics: they are only for mod messages like this. Players posting in italics can still be killed, as quite a few will be shortly. You may post as many times as you like before your death sequence is publicly announced, but if you die in the first post, you won't be told if later posts would have killed you. If you're officially dead, you shouldn't post.

Guardian
opens a door and asks the Serial Killer if he will be spared. The Serial Killer's response: a knife in the back.

xyzzy
goes for broke with two appearances, however he doesn't even live past the first one.
Eteocles
offers his ideas before a knife gets thrown right into his neck.
Pie_is_good
sees the blood oozing and tries to flee, and gets no more than three steps from the door when a throwing star pierces his chest, and his body falls on top of
xyzzy
's.

Streeflo
's attempt to avoid vowels is to no avail, as the Serial Killer sneaks beside a pillar of ivory before slicing his head off with a katana.
Jingolaw
's stab at the answer is met with a stab to his back.
Spectrumvoid
enters and yells 'AAAAA,' and has even more screaming to do as she falls a few stories via a trapdoor.

klebian
's response to what's happening is lacking at best, however the Serial Killer cheers him for a second (he still gets killed).

JDodge
tries to remain calm when a lion, released from a cage by the Serial Killer, leaps on him and begins a meal.
Cephrir
mimes... something, and meets (or perhaps I might say 'meats') his end as a snack for another lion.

Mad Jackal
tries his best to impersonate
xyzzy
's theory and live. Alas, his efforts fail, and the Serial Killer comes from behind and tosses him off a balcony down eight stories. The Serial Killer recieves a satisfying 'whomp' noise to signify his death.

Save the Dragons
yells some nonsense as he makes a speedy exit from the hall. Sadly, there is another lion awaiting him after he makes it past the front door.

Xdaamno
,
inHimshallibe
, and
Mokina
enter together, to find that the Serial Killer has left them a trap; a large horizontally sweeping blade. All three get sliced at the torso.

Grek
is still dead, so we'll never know if his post was lethal or not. NOOOOOOOOO; what a sad world we live in! This is followed by
The Central Scrutinizer
's point on the Serial Killer's mannerisms, and that point is followed by another point; namely, that of the Serial Killer's katana.

JordanA24
enters and sadly can't avoid death, and neither can
johhan
or
Nocmen
.

Skruffs
,
Dexaan
, and
Sudo_Nym
enter and perform a dance, when all three's arms get pierced with a dart. Sadly, this dart is the kind with a poison on it, and the poision is the kind that kills people, so they also die in a few seconds. So, it appears that nobody lived this time!

Alright, This post will get me killed, but no worries.

Xyzzy is the only person to survive so far. His post was in italics, was a question, and had two commas. It st was a rhetorical question and started with the words "I wonder"

We know that italics is not the key. We know that questions are not the key. From Eteocles post, we know that two commas are not the secret. Other people have used rhetorical questions, but they have been used along with other sentences.

I suggest someone posts "I wonder what this will do?"

Occult
mentions how he likes television programming, and in a moment of intense and positively side-splitting irony, dies as a television falls on his head!

Still in stitches from the irony of the television,
Shanba
then snaps into the realization that he'll die shortly, and this realization is... err, realized by a sniper rifle.

Higsby
, who thinks
Shanba
might be on to something, ponders the earlier statements for a few moments, then notices a red laser is sitting directly in the middle of his forehead. Anyone can probably infer what happens to him next.

walks into a room and boldy challenges the Serial Killer. A pistol shot is heard and the Serial Killer flees the scene, leaving his victim's corpse behind.

I don't consider the Serial Killer to be particularly scary.
