I think Delly died. I'm going to contact MeMe about this game again and hope the same thing happens as last time (Delly shows up before MeMe even responds to my PM). I think the easiest solution would be for someone else to take over modding. Luckily, it's just a Vanilla game, so it should be possible.

Yet again, I'm finding myself writing an apology for mod absence, and it's pissing me off almost as much as it must be pissing you guys off.

Same situation as the last time - I was away (7 days with no access earlier this month) and I just have a really hard time getting back into the mafiascum swing of things. I am not sure why this is the case. Maybe it's because I know inside that it eats my soul if I get into it. Maybe it is because I am lazy or have commitment issues. I really don't know.

I will be retaking over this game, and I will do it actively effective immediately. Now, by actively, I am maybe not talking "checking mafiascum seven times a day" like I used to be. That will probably come with time. For now, it'll be once a day. I will make a real effort to get vote counts done regularly and prods too.

Thanks for putting up with me before. Now, let's get this game going again.

Ok, although I'd rather have mod confirmation on that first, but yeah, after I get revived, Zind's looking like a decent .5 day revival at the moment. Once we get confirmation that it's now day .5, I'll have to look back through the thread and see if there's any hard questions I can throw at Zind, heh.

and i was never a big fan of yos' revival.

but i have liked zind for a while, so I have no qualms.

I just don't hold out any hope of this game ever picking up or reaching completion. I feel a bit guilty because I replaced into this game as a trade, but I don't see significant interest from the mod or the players to keep this thing going. If CDB runs any more games, I still owe him a favour.

Once I get a couple more responses in we'll decide how to move forward. So far, I feel comfortable getting three replacements. But ff many more players default on the game, I think it might be prudent to just scrap whatever has happened thus far and restart the game with replacements.

I don't want to ruin what is a quite interesting game for you all, or for CDB, so your thoughts on this matter are appreciated. Once I've got a bit more info together, we can resume play in full.

I imagine some of you saw this coming.

At the moment, out of the 12 people in this game, there are 4 who have definitively told me that they are going to continue playing this game. This would mean 8 simultaneous replacements, and MeMe agrees with me that the best decision at this time is to declare the game abandoned. You are all released from your obligations to this game. When ChannelDeliBird returns, no doubt he will be given the option to rerun this same setup.

I apologize to those of you who did post and who were looking forward to playing this game. I was looking forward to moderate it. But given the state it's in I think it's pretty much unsalvageable.

I'd like to thank to those of you who played up to this point, and for my part, those of you who took the time to respond to my PM.

Someone told me who the scum were, but I've already forgotten, because I'm lazy like that.

I liked the setup, but I think the fact that it was entirely vanilla made it less interesting and somewhat unbalanced. The fact that it takes a long time before we even get to know one player's alignment also influences the game quite heavily.

I think the solution is to give everyone roles, or even to make it a Smalltown game, with role distributions already known. That would probably reduce the interest problem. I also think something would have to be done about the balance in general. I think it is very difficult for town to win a Reverse game, since they've pretty much lost if they revive one scumbag in the first three revives (as they're in LyLo from that point onwards).

Yeah, I agree with Zinderas. Roles made the first game much more interesting (well, except for the silly "insane cop" role, lol). With roles, like vig, roleblocker, doc, ect, the town has a lot more options, and still has a chance of surviving even if they bring back a scum.
