mod
: can we have a prod on mustafa please?

Sigh. I really don't want to think about my experience with Skruffs.

Simenon: I think you misunderstood what I said. The first quote was me saying John was annoying but not scummy. The second was me saying the reasons John could be town or scum. I followed it up with a post saying John was scummy and a vote.

IH: I think I'm misreading your post... You're NOT saying that john is scum because his partner is scum right? *confused*

I've gone through the case for TCS, and I think it warrants an
fos

TCS: Could you explain exactly what you don't like about what panzer's reaction at -1, and what he did when the pressure was off?

Well, first he OMGUS voted me in the same post that he accused John of OMGUS voting, then said he didn't need to explain himself, then went on to explain himself, then took his vote off of me because the town needed to "get serious." Then he kind of laid low for the rest of the day and said that he didn't care about Day 1 because it was stupid and he wanted to live in order to get to the real action, thus abdicating himself of responsibility for anything that occurred Day 1. It looks to me like early-game scum fishing for an acceptable strategy.

Wow. saved cause of a typo.
FoS: Skruffs
for the would-be hammer on me. this is an OMGUS fos.
and skruffs, you screwed up the vote again. so did simenon.

Major FoS: Siminenon
for dropping off the face of the earth. then coming back once the deadline past. seems like a little too good of timing for me.
I'm not who you think I am. Unless you guess right. Then you know who I am.

I don't see how I screwed that up. It's bolded with a colon directly after the vote.

One of those should work.

John, I didn't vote before the deadline. I also unvoted and voted incorrectly. As I was saying in my analysis of the game shortly before the deadline, I was not very suspicious of you. However, I am willing at accept I'm nto right in my suspicions, and I have been fossed and lynched and voted for in other games for sayign that a no-lynch is a good idea on day oen with no information. I voted you almost entirely to help get information out of you.

Try to do more than simple retroactive scumhunting today. You're being loud, defensive and uncurious about this whole game.

  • This game is not to be discussed outside of this thread unless your role SPECIFICALLY states so. All discussion outside the game thread will occur during the night phase, and NO ONE should be communicating with anyone during the day phases.
the only players that should be communicating about this game should be the Mafia, and that should only occur at
NIGHT
... thank-you for continuing to follow this rule...

also, i will clarify the rule about voting one more time...

Do you mean people who voted or didn't vote around deadline?
You pushed for a John lynch for the last couple of pages before deadline,a dn I remember SV goaded a bit, but other than that, not many people seemed to have any idea of what's goign on. This might be an exaggeration.

IH: I don't understand your last post.

Deadline situation:
Simenon messed around with colons, and disappeared.

Ripley posted and said there's not much to choose from between panzer and john (204.)

Mustafa15 checked in and asked for extension, not saying anything else.

John had 3 votes on him: IH (who wanted someone to hammer), panzer (self-defense), SV (who thought john was scummy.)

Ripley votes John.

Skruffs says 1) Rather go into night with more people. 2) votes john 4 minutes later for info + other reasons.

I just realised something... besides simenon and mustafa, TCS was also not around. I know that TCS proposed panzer as an alternative. But I'm not satisfied with the way simenon, mustafa and TCS disappeared.

At this point,
unvote:john, vote:mustafa
This is because I don't have any read on mustafa at all compared to the rest --> a pressure vote to say something.

EBYOP since I hit submit instead of preview (wanted to check whether I voted correctly.)

TCS: Why did you not present your case against panzer in its full detail yesterday? (I'm not saying I buy the case yet till I've done a read.)

TBH, because I missed a large portion of the game from, April 27-May 5. I was shocked to come back and see the no-lynch. I would have laid down the hammer just to get a lynch if I had been here.

Wow, John, why indeed. Why would someone kill Ripley? He was too vocal and aggressive to eb considered a doctor. Maybe someone killed him because he was getting
too close to the truth
. Who was he the MOST against near the end of the day in day one? Obviously whoever that was, THAT is the
MURDERER
.

He never really liked...
you
, Spectrumvoid, did he? Did he spurn your advances? Did he hold your 'type of lifestyle' in contempt? Hmmm? And why did you vote msutafa, when T.C.S. did hte same things, and is currently has a stronger wagon on him? Playing distraction, are we? You can admit it. Tell us...
THE TRUTH

Because TCS is at least responding to my queries. I have not made a decision on whether TCS is scum or town, but I really do NOT want a situation like yesterday, where we had so many missing people leading to a short deadline and a no-lynch. I want people talking. I want to get mustafa talking, or get him replaced NOW, not wait till we get a deadline.

I have done the obvious.

- Ripley attacks john.
- Ripley says panzer is baiting john, repeats it, then drops it.
- Ripley questions simenon about his mistake.
- RIpley says there's nothing wrong with panzer putting a vote on self defense.
- In post 221, Ripley goes after Skruffs.
- Ripley votes John.

Thanks john for the tip. Since Ripley thought you were scummy most of the time, you (scum) killed him to shut him up.

(The above is sarcasm. Night actions are difficult to be reasoned, and I don't like speculating on them because they tend to lead to wifomish arguments.)

I agree, at least, on that. I know there is a classic tell about someone congradulating the doctor - is there possibly another tell concerning the first person to speculate on why the nk target was killed?

I kinda disagree with the idea of making classic tells... They're pretty much only applicable in a newbie game. The problem with classic tells is everyone knows that they're classic tells, including scum.

Then again, john
is
a newbie, so my point is invalid here. I can't see any reason for him to speculate about night actions, unless he's trying to frame Simenon or Skruffs or himself, which doesn't make sense.

That makes 2 people who claim they weren't around: TCS and Simenon. I will be looking very closely at the two of them if john turns out scum. In fact... I'll be looking very closely at TCS after this is cleared up:

Since my pressure vote hasn't had any effect:
mod: prod mustafa please

Someone else that's been bugging me this game is IH. I've played quite a bit with IH, and this pseudo-lurking playstyle does not jive with IH-town's playstyle (on the rare occasions IH is town, that is.)
