Why do you assume I have a vote restriction but that I can post more than I have been posting?
I'm growing a bit concerned about Jack. It appears that he has some sort of a random voting condition...In an endgame that could prove to be very dangerous. I don't think that he's our lynch, but we should really try to kill him before the numbers get too small.
Why did you suggest killing me? That's wicked scummy.

Whoa am I ever confused.

Maybe Jack's a Village Idiot or some variation thereof? I mean, this amount of random voting is sure to get him lynched.

Jack: Early in the game, you were posting 1-2 word posts with random votes. Now you post more. We assumed that 1-2 words was your restriction.

Mert: I second - why the vote?

Partly because your post 46 didn't sit well with me and partly just to see who, if anyone, would jump on the wagon after me.

Mert: If he did, in fact, have a posting restriction that required a random vote, as we believed up to this point (at least, I believed), then he WOULD be a major problem in the endgame. Say that it's down to 3 - 1 mafia, 2 townspeople and he randomly votes for the townsperson - the other mafia will obviously jump on, losing the game.

Jack: Another question: Why did you continue to unvote and revote for various people if you are not required to vote randomly?

Jack was smart in voting himself early, I have no reason to think that him voting for different people 'targets' them for anything at night.
Jack - do you have a Vote restriction?
Do you have to vote every time you post?
Does it really matter? I don't think so.

Voting randomly as a post restriction would fail. A person with this PR can simply vote a real vote, and pretend that it's random. The mod wouldn't know whether he's faking.

Either way, he has probably as many votes as the rest of us do. I count roughly ten at this point.
Mastermind of Sin, Locus Cosecant, Darklight140, Kwyjibo, Omniplx, and Uraj are scummy. *wink, wink*

I don't see why cubsfan is suspicious for 'fishing ' - knowing what is up with Jack can keep allow us to stop being suspicious of him, if he is town, and spend our energies on other pursuits.

Yes, given. If he did have such a restriction then I'd see your point. But I don't particularly believe he does at the moment (I think it's too early to judge, he could just be messing around in the first few pages) and even if he did have one, I very much doubt it'd be random to the point of ruining the endgame - that would just be plain cruelty from the mod and, as you have identified, could just ruin the game.

On top of that, who's to say that he would have this potential post restriction in perpetuity? Killing him early might mean we lose a potentially valuable player who would be restriction-free by Day Three.

So basically, I found your post advocating his death a little unsettling. Not conclusive proof of your scumminess or anything, I'm not saying that, but it's enough for a vote this early on in the game.

Fishing is always suspicious, speculation and discussion is good town behavior - but directly asking someone (basically..) what their role is on day one is scummy. There may be good and bad reasons for why Jack is acting the way he is, so you can vote him or not depending on what you think about his actions. However point blank asking someone their role is a-no.-1 scummy behavior.

Fishing is scum looking for a good night kill :-/ But its nice to know your guys stick up for each other

unvote, Vote Skruffs
I'm suspicious - in every sense of the word.

BIG FOS: Skruffs
for vote hoping to spectrumvoid who made a good point. I should also note that players who post a lot are valuable (either as townie or mafia) and thus voting for/lynching spectrumvoid is destructive. I would switch my vote to scruffs if I didn't have it squarely pointed at my favourite target.

Jack is attracting too much attention to himself. Posting restriction or not, probability of him being scum is small.

I agree fishing is suspicious: almost all early claims hurt the town. However, the way cubs asked makes me think it was an innocent, perhaps frustrated, question.

My vote stays on the absent one.

I am confirming I am here, but I'm not going to take the time to make a detailed post right now- I really don't have the time until the weekend, when I'll review all of my games.

Thanks for the understanding -_-

Whoa whoa whooooa!! You're FOSing me for voting for someone you have deemed
most important player
at the BEGINNING of day one?!

I voted for spectrum because she didn't have any votes on her, and I wanted to see if something would happen regarding a peculiar player who is
hopping around
a lot. I didn't see the big
'don't ever vote experience players'
sign you had erected around her. :P
Did I say anything about her? No! Did I e ver imply that people should vote her? No!!
And suggesting that some people should be immune from votes is a LOT scummier than a random vote page three...
Gude Grieph!
Unvote

No offense meant, milady!

Yama - if you think cubs is scum for fishing, and that therefore I am scum for defending him, why are you voting me? Isn't it more likely a townie would be accidentally defending a scum than a scum would intentionally stick their neck out defending a townie?

Mert: We all had reason to believe that he had this restriction. (By the way, a random voting restriction could work so that a person was given a list, in order, of people they had to vote for, and couldn't post back-to-back), and that is when I posted it. It made no sense that he would vote randomly at least 4 times before then without justification or any other content in his posts. Now that I've found that he does not have this restriction, I don't belive that he should be lynched just for that reason. I do find the fact that he didn't post more earlier, however, very suspicious.

I saw cubs fishing as far less scummy than your defending him for fishing. I don't really think that he is your scum buddy, I was just being cheeky.
I'm suspicious - in every sense of the word.
