You are a stripper with a knack for trouble with family guy

You may have been killed when he hit you with the barstool. You may have been killed when he stuffed all those dollar bills down your throat. One thing that didn't kill you though, was smoking. But your a person too, a naked person that may be willing to go a little farther behind the curtain for a predetermined amount of money.

You're already dead.
You win when you're NOT.

I used a similar role before.

Pfft.. at Zindie for using real roles.
Mr. Flay wrote:Bastard Mod Mafia roles.

I think the worst of the bunch were the single townie with the false "townie info", and the Nightwatchman. The second falls foul of the Post Restrictions Suck 'rule', and the first is avoidable in most games since the Mod isn't usually actively misleading you. :D

A Werewolf/Mafia mason team, though, was just comedy gold.

I knew from the beginning (well, ok, assumed) that my mason partner was scum. Just like the last time I was in a mafia with a mafiate who had a mafiate mason partner, however, the other mason would never talk, and I've never had the opportunity to abuse the masonry.

There was one time when I had a 3-way mason group with all of us being neutral roles. We all had to make it to the end game to win (not all together, just make individually). Had my partners talked then, we probably would've won easily, but instead it got us all killed cause they too, never said a word to me.
Adele wrote:How about a cop... but he doesn't get to pick who he investigates, the mafia send the choice in. He gets an accurate result on that person, and they can't pick the same target more than once, though.
How about a cop (yes, I've played a game with this one too) who is automatically given results based on a randomly initialized list in which the results correspond to the first ever mafia game on the site?

I love these roles, we should make a mafia game out of these.

A cult recruiter that can only recruit from the town, where everyone else is an SK.

Let me just say for anyone who might be minded to make such a game, balancing this beast is not for the faint of heart. Mine turned out okay, but I suspect it could have easily not. If your goal is simply to be a Bastard Mod, then I suppose whatever happens falls within the guidelines you've provided. But if you actually want a game with a long list of negative value roles to work as a playable and fair game, most of the ideas suggested here aren't going to work.

QFT. Bastard Mod would have worked better if it had been bastardy toward everyone, rather than just the town.

There really is. You can have town/mafia and hats/no-hats, along with other opposing factions. If you're a
Townie Hat-Wearing Ninja
, you'd have to kill all of the Mafiates, Hatless players, and Pirates.

Of course, if you kill the Man with the yellow hat, you have to deal with the wrath of Curious George.
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.

i was thinking more along the lines of a role that's either mafia traitor or townie, but doesn't know which at the start of the game...

...either that, or it's the
only
role that cares about hats.

anything else just undermines the uninformed majority conept too far.

No Pressure Mafia had something like that; every role PM started with
Congrats, you've got a power role. You are a cop/doc/vig. Each night you must submit three names; one name to be investigated, doc protected, and vigged, respectively. These names can be the same or different, however you may not submit your own name.

As a cop, you made be any of sane/insane/naive/paranoid

As a doc, you may be a true doc (block one kill against your target) or a quack (completely ineffective)

As a vig, you may be a true vig (kill your target once) or you may be firing blanks (completely ineffective)
Not really so bad, except that I then made it a 16 person game, with every sanity appearing. (Scum had some additional powers to help them out.)

The mass roleclaim on day 2 was quite humorous.

Bastard

You have a choice of either being a jester or a survivor. Whichever you choose, you must roleclaim the opposite within the first 5 pages of the game. Otherwise, you will die.

I'd definitely pick jester and claim survivor. I'd act super scummy first to make sure I have enough attention to warrant a claim though.

ok, less bastardy adaptation.
Rubber
and
Glue
adapted masonry

Rubber: You can't be voted. Any time someone tries to vote you, the vote bounces onto Glue (this only happens until such time as Glue dies, at which point you become normally votable). You are therefore currently unlynchable, and you win with the town, as does Glue.

Glue: When people are mean to Rubber, it bounces off of him and sticks to you. Votes on you or on another player (rolename "Rubber") will both end up on you. They will remain there even if the players voting you attempt to unvote. This protection that you afford Rubber against getting lynched lasts only while you're alive. You win with the town. Rubber's alignment is not known to you.

You are the town
Ballot Counter

Any number of times, at any time during the day, you may post a vote count. The vote count doesn't have to reflect the actual state of the game, but it must have the same number of votes as the actual game state. You win when you are the last man standing.

You are the
Town Moderator
.

You are responsible for counting votes, as well as writing nightscenes and dayscenes. You may write whatever you'd like, but I'm not telling you anything about alignments, night choices, etc. Those you have to make up.

If you get anything wrong, you will be modkilled.
