Who keeps changing the title of this thread?

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Mon Sep 25, 2006 2:25 pm

Post by Kelly Chen »

Here's a guy with 130 posts, enough to know how things work, posting his role PM and ending a game Day 1 because... He's leaving Mafiascum.

From the day MM /in'd on the queue to the day he started the thread, it was almost two full months. Personally, I got to review the setup and was interested to see it play out.

I wanted to bring this incident to people's attention. I can't fathom how with 130 posts on Mafiascum you could be so clueless or so mean-spirited as to unilaterally end a game on twelve other people for no reason at all.

That's awful. God, that's the thing about the internet, isn't it? You can be a total asshole and hide from the fact that your actions are actually affecting people negatively. Or maybe he just lacks the empathy gene, I dunno.

I can't believe I helped that guy to a win in another game...

Yeah, I was seriously pissed when he did that, considering the fact that I was one of his scum partners

Ouchies. :( Another play to add to the black list...

*huggles Machiavellian-Mafia*

For the record, I think M-M should be bumped to the top of the queue for whatever mini game he mods next, since he never really got the opportunity to finish modding that particular game, through no fault of his own.

That's the second player I've noticed to do that recently. Hrm.

This happened to me awhile back with Mini 340 (Fallen Hero). StrykkerVerde pretty much gave up and admitted being scum. Total disgrace.

People. They're the
worst
.

If M-M wants to get back in line to mod a mini reg, I'll certainly bump him to the top.

I agree. What Strykker did was disgraceful, but what Slaking did was pure douchebaggery.

That's pretty ridiculous. It just basically ends the game right then and there. Which sucks for everyone, player or mod.

Scum giving up and admitting they're scum, that's something I've seen before (quite often, actually), but I've never seen them out their buddies because they didn't feel like playing anymore.

Ghetto Anthony just did this as well in mini #367 and newb #265. He knew what he was doing, so the newb card doesn't apply in this case either.

'Luckily', he was the doc in both games, but that doesn't stop it being a collosal kick in the balls to both the mod, and the players who actually want to play a game.

Not as bad as the mod throwing a hissy and listing the roles in-thread halfway through, though, is it?

I didn't say it was good reason, but he at least had reason compared to this killjoy.

Eek!
So
don't want to open up this can of worms again!

Basically, we're all here on an "honor system" and breaking that, no matter how mad/apathetic you are, is just horrible behavior -- so, agreed. There's no
good
reason for it.
