What's the hurry? What's the desperation?

Can't you wait for something amusing to happen on site to have a meaningful/funny/relevant title?
I can cite my own example. It took 1200 posts. What's the glamour about a few words beneath your nickname?

It seems to be a mutual admiration society in here suggesting titles for their RL friends, which isn't really the point of a title...

These titles are meant to be fun and sign of acceptance, a welcoming in the group you could say. However, isn't better to be known for your general characteristics of your playing style than for some title. If one's title is a fair expression of that, fine. But having a title is not the zenith of the peak. The title "mafia scum" is fine for me. I agree with Phoebus that title should be relevant to general matters and not to obscurities. I believe there is room for "fun" things, you could say. In the three cases mentioned above, I would have to vote NO for them.

And more often that not, you get a title for something stupid you've said. So while it does in some sense represent acceptance to the site, it's also often self-deprecating.

In any case, I'm going to nominate warpdragon for "But mathcam said!" or something to that extent. See his signature if you don't know what I"m talking about.

I dunno, I'd almost want to give W_W something like "nevermind..." in small text, for the way she rambles on and then tells us to disregard whatever it was (rl, tv show, the weather, etc) that had nothing to do with the game...it's pretty funny, she does it nearly every time.
