WP elyse (and also the other scum but elyse in particular). I was under the assumption (which I guess i should have clarified) that I would lose a shot if i shot someone who was protected but wouldn't if i was blocked. I actually did consider saying something in the thread to the effect of "i don't want to shoot aphix because he clearly wants me to shoot him" but it's irrelevant because I never would have wound up shooting Elyse.

My bad for not inviting and switching to aphix after that ISO. Though doubt I would have pursued Elyse the next day. Maybe with a reread....idk.

I can't help but think that town may have done better if there weren't so many unforced power role claims.

Actually, your reads were great. 1065 is dead on. Don't worry about that aspect of your game.

If there's one thing you need to work on it's your convincing skills.
- Posting unasked for game links to a meta on fitz isn't perticularly hepful. Worse, it's a mild scumtell. It looks like your looking busy/helpful, but nobody is going to take the time to read 5 full games to double check.
- Then you state you need to re-read him after Skelda claims so it suggests you don't believe your own posts.
- clutch reading skills are important for deadline spamming. Mistaking "neighbor" for "neighborizer" or speculating on mafia encryptors... Those cause correction posts which bog down the thread and just feels like you may be just increase noise and/or disinformation at a crucial point.
- Giving reads, talking to the mod about dead QT's (AtE), and trying to provide self-meta examples are the least likely to ways to avoid a mislynch.

Joining a hydra won't help you get better. Every situation in every game is different. Nobody can teach you what to do in every situation, Better to re-read your old games and learn from your own mistakes first hand.

I generally have a slow start. Didn't even get the chance to get any reads since HP and and evil had tunnel vision on me.

It made me mad because I got lynched in 3 other games in quick succession. I wouldn't have fakeclaimed under normal circumstances.

Lol when ABR AtE'd to me it was really town and I was scared he would go on a crusade to lynch me at the end. When he claimed mason, I thought it would make me look good to claim too, since it would keep the other mason hidden. I also felt like too many townies were being townread by each other at that point, and ETL getting out of lynch was really annoying. So, I went for it and it paid off!

@Jacob - Why the decision to let the vig keep his shots after being blocked/JK/etc? Usually, the lose shots even if the vic doesn't die. That sorta makes the vig very powerful.

The decision to keep shots was probably a mistake. I decided to let him keep his shot when he was blocked (there was nothing in the review QT about it). I decied that him losing his shot when target was protected would give him too much information.

In hindsight that was a mistake.

My initial thoughts on this game were pretty short so I thought I would give another few thoughts.
 
Like I said...I think Elyse did an excellent job and I'm not sure how much attention she would have received D4 even if we had lynched aphix.  I would like to think that she would have been looked at but with the massive/misplaced tunneling HP was doing on me I'm not sure.
 
HP...you were crap this game.  You had no solid reason to focus so much on me (see...I'm town) and when you did veer away from me you were just as wrong. 
 
Agreed with KK...all the PR claims really hurt town.  I'm not sure a single one of them was necessary.  WTF EPM and Fusion? 
 
Which brings us to ABR's claim.  WTF?  You go to the trouble of giving your sage advice at the beginning of games (lately at least) with one of the key points being "No lying about your role" and then you proceed to do so.  So if you can't follow your own advice I guess we can't really fault EPM and Fusion for  ignoring the "No claims before L-2"...since they appear to have claimed to show how yours didn't fit?  Plus your fakeclaim opened up the door for Elyse to gambit and get loads of towncred (IMO at least) and sail to the end. 
 
So in summary...the ABR fakeclaim/lie resulted in:
Outing the gunsmith and jailkeeper D1  (though in fairness to ABR they still should have kept quiet)
Enabling Elyse to earn towncred
Become a point of contention contributing to the town on town suspicions between myself and HP/EPM.

I thought KK played good and at least had the sense to read me right (almost to the point I was wondering if he was buttering me up) and in hindsight...Titus's reads were spot on.  Nicely done to no avail.
 
ETL...I'm not sure about.  Not sure I want to go back and see/relive why I was so annoyed with her.  I see she was on Elyse and Skelda so good on her...but the Elyse stuff iirc just seemed to be a lot of OMGUS based on how she expected Elyse to be reading her.  Which is not a real convincing argument to others.   Also her move to me D4 seemed lazy and without thought.  It genuinely felt like ETL had checked out near the end of the game with all the yelling and screaming and drama.  But she had a good read on me most of the game (another thing that made her switch to me suspect IMO) so I give her that.
 
Also...no one became the first person to go on my blacklist so that's good.
 
I'm also pissed at myself for not unvoting HP after my aphix ISO.  I had considered it.  I might have put it back there regardless but I should have just moved it to aphix.  Kick kick kick myself.  Bleh.
 
Shoulda coulda woulda....but for all the claims (real and fake) who knows how things would have turned out.

I just noticed the comments about not using up implosion's shots.  I think that was a bit of a mod error.  Especially when the shot was on a Doc protected player.  Imp could have assumed there was some sort of protection or blocking mechanism in the game but he wouldn't have been sure which.  And we all assumed that anyway.  Luckily it didn't matter in the end.
