At that, Fuldu stands up. "This is ridiculous. No-one can possibly be that powerful and well-connected. You deserve to die - it's obvious you're lying."

With that, he politely asks the Author for a method to kill someone.

The Author replies simply by erasing Stevie's body.

Then someone notices the black mask under his head.

As day breaks (well, as the Author wakes), you quickly bound to your feet, eager to find the scum.

You quickly come across a short man in a long, blue robe and tall, pointy straw hat talkting to a tall man with a tiny goatee.

"Are you sure you want this?" asks the short, ugly man, seemingly quite nervous.

"I'm sure. I don't want my death to be at the hands of those ruffians." says the tall, blond man.

The short, ugly, smelly man nods, dutifully, and draws his dagger as the tall, blond, attractive man draws his rapier. Slowly, the taller of the duo draws his rapier across his throat, while the shorter stabs him rather viciously in the guts.

, falls to the floor dead. Thok, also known as

stands somberly over him for a moment, before sheathing his dagger with the words "I guess it's just up to me now..."

He looks around, seeing the faces of his enemies all around him. He quickly starts to gather energy in his hands...

A blue flash blinds you all for a few seconds, a few horrible seconds while you wonder who's been the victim of the terrible Hadoken attack.

As your eyes clear, you see Thok's body, lying on the floor in front of you. His hat (and head, for that matter) are nowhere to be seen.

Fuldu grins apologetically at you, his eyes fading from their laserbeam-blue glow.

"I thought it best to get him before he got us."

And with that, the well-known Caption pops up.

Well done, guys. You've defeated the scum of the webcomic world, and as soon as you're all ready, I'll transport you back home.

You're pretty sure your brother isn't around, so you can safely claim to be Elan if you so choose.

Doctor X sends in the nightkills. Should he die, this burden shall fall to you.

As such, your primary aim is to make things fun, and to an extent make sure the balance in the world will remain so you can carry on making things fun without boring people making it dull or evil people killing you. You also have cardboard-tube-samurai abilities, which will protect you the first time you would die for any reason and also give you the ability to kill someone, once during the game, at night.

You don't have to, though - you can instead spend the night in Hell, in perfet safety. If you do that, you won't be able to be killed that night.

However, even more important than that to you is not harming innocent people... Each night, you can PM me someone's name, and laser their head off. This, unsurprisingly, kills them.

Of course, your method for doing this is a tad misguided, and you've found yourself thought of as all body, no brains and, worst of all, your heart is all but ignored. You want to show your friends that you're actually smart and a good person, and you figure the best way to do this is to provide a voice of reason and balance.

Curious. With Coron having multiple kill immunities and Adele potentially being night immune scum was much further from winning then I thought.

Town seems a touch over powered, but given that the scum can sacrifice their minor victory condition for major victory (which two of us did) that's not so bad.

Oh yeah I lied about being an SK. Duh. Frankly town was asking me to do that; when you have a cop who detects flavor, you use that to verify roles. Fuldu at the very least could have come out yesterday, be completely and totally confirmed as Dave and as the vig, and end my shenanigans. (I can understand Adele not wanting to claim, but she's the only person with a legitimate excuse.)

Good job blocking me Pie; your mistake was letting me stall and fake my way out of it. If you had just said directly "I am a roleblocker and I've role blocked Thok Night 1 and 2, Lynch him" I couldn't have done anything about it. Then I proceeded to get extremely lucky.

I also think Nemesis did a good job handling the cop role.

Plus a number of the pro-town roles were designed to prompt "bad play" - for example, the doc never once protected the claimed cop. If you'd decided to take a chance there, the game would have gone very differently, I think.

But yeah, Pie hitting you twice early was not good for you.

I think I suggested trying to kill Nemesis to Stevie Night 3, on the theory that it was likely the only winning line. If Stevie ever talked to his fellow scum players, I might even have been able to convince him of this. Also, if MM hadn't killed himself, we'd have killed Nemesis tonight.

(Did I mention that I absolutely hate having an Alpha, Beta, Gamma style mafia order, simply because it means that the choice of who is Alpha strongly affects the course of the game? But this isn't the place for that discussion.)

I didn't want to come out because I figured that would put the doc in a position of having to decide whether to protect the vig or the cop. If scum didn't know that

was the one performing the kills, then I was better protected. The other concern was that admitting that I was a killing party (even one who had only killed scum) wasn't exactly going to leave me "totally confirmed".

Besides, I was the one pushing to have you lynched and intended to kill Stevie at night, not that that would have worked. And since I knew I could kill you at night if we didn't lynch you and wasn't going to target anyone other than you or Stevie, there wasn't really any value to my coming out. We'd lynch one and I'd try to kill the other no matter what I said, so revealing my identity wasn't really worth anything to the town.

Day 3 was poor play I think, but that's probably residual bitterness over getting lynched.

It was a good game, a fun game (although it took a little while in getting started). I do think the town was radically overpowered - yes, I self-protected every night, and I stand that, because (a) I'd rather see you all die and lose my minor than my major and (b) a self-protecting townie's probably a stronger role anyway than a doc (I'm slightly disappointed no-one ever tried to kill me).

In fact, I do think this game was unbalanced in the town's favour. Perhaps if there had been an SK (like if Thok

had

been SK) and a mafia godfather, as we suspected earlier, or if the mafia could get a second kill at night if they hit a WC or something... I think with a straight 3 against 9, you need an up-powered mafia and a down-powered town.

btw, does anyone know what Tyfo's "I hate myself" code was about??

Bertrand has unlimited nightkills when he died. The scum had someone immune to night kills and someone who was immune to investigations. Is there anything a Godfather can do that one of the scum couldn't?
