Mini 267-Communist Mafia- Game Over!

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Wed Dec 21, 2005 1:04 pm

Post by stark »

Welcome Comrades to Communist Mafia!

Here are the rules (stolen from shelper who stole them from Meme):
Votes must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.

Please be attentive and unvote, if necessary, before casting a new vote. This is not required, but I’d appreciate it.

Lynching will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. You may vote: no lynch – majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.

The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.

Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. Stop typing.

Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts

Don’t quote any PMs from me.

If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. I will not wait for you – if you do not submit a choice to me, tough! No choice will be made.

If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.

Remember, it’s a game. It’s supposed to played. It’s supposed to be fun. Do your part.

*added Ruleish thing*
here is not the place to hate on communism. if you have quarel, my email/im is in my profile; drop me a line sometime 8)

any violation of these rules will result first in a warning and a derogatory comment generated by the people's cube random truth generator:
http://www.thepeoplescube.com/red/viewtopic.php?t=297

second time you will be mod-purged

ok guys, we have a small problem; massive has not PMed me back on anything so far, so we're going to start the game without him, and hopefully, he will be back soon. i read on the vacation forum that he was aparently in paris, although i dont know when he posted that, as my date function on the forums is not working for me. the introduction scene is coming up in just a moment, but let the fun begin!

Day 1

Dr. Wump (Ph. D. Political Sciences)(Junior Necromancer) paces his study, distressed. The world was in turmoil, the rich exploite the weak, the hungry unfed and the naked unclothed (he prides himself on his poetic ability). "Something has to be done" he says alound, pounding his fist on the table. Finaly, in an attempt to calm himself down, he picks up the television remote and turns on the television. As he flips through the channels, first the golf channel, quickly skipped, the game show channel, upon which he stops for a brief moment, inwhich he screams at the contestant on the television for missing the question "What color is the White House?", and finaly, he settles on the Fox News channel, the epicenter of capitalist lies. suddenly, the headline comes up on the screen:

"Karl Marx's Tomb Unearthed; Oil Discovered"

Doctor Wump fumes, quite literally fumes. Shutting off the television, he walks into his driveway, gets into his car, and heads down to the local petting zoo

Two Hours Later

Dr. Wump's living room is perfumed with the scent of goat blood. On his carpet is a pentagram, drawn in charcoal. Dr. Wump can be seen kneeling within the pentagram, muttering strange and haunting words under his breath. "Great God of the Underworld! I, your Humble Servant, Ask of you to Release the 12 Greatest Communists Ever to Walk the Earth in the hope of Cleansing the Land of The Agents of Hatred!"

suddenly, flames erupted out of the kitchen stove, and 12 figures emerged. A Great Voice Was Heard From Above, So Great That Even Capitalizing Each Word In This Sentence Would Not Be Enough To Describe The Greatness Of That Voice. The voice said:

OH SERVANT! YOUR REQUEST AMUSES ME! I AM SO BORED THESE DAYS! YOUR HOUSE HAS BEEN TRANSPORTED INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE NEATHERWORLD SO THAT I AND MY DEMONS MAY HAVE SOME ENTERTAINMENT!"

Sure enough, as Dr. Wump peered out his window, snarling demons of all shapes and sizes peered back at him.

"HOWEVER, YOUR TASK WILL NOT BE SO EASY AS YOU THINK! FOR I HAVE BROUGHT YOUR ENEMIES TO JOIN YOUR FRIENDS; YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DISTINGUISH AMONG THEM!"

The twelve figures walk into the room, sit down on the comfortable furniture, and prepare to begin their first day if the house of Dr. Wump, thousands of miles below the earth...

It means I'm confirmed innocent, I reckon. Swell. Hello, giant target on my head.

Anyways, I confirmed back (durn holidays) and now I am here, so let's get The Party started.

Hail Comrades! And other such communist-sounding stuff.

A random vote does not befit the orderliness of the communist system. Thus, I shall place my
Vote: Lord Rahl
. Your elitist titles are meaningless here. Power to the people!

hey, in the interest of energy conservancy, how does a prepetual vote count sound? like it would be put in the begining of the thread, so you wouldnt have to fish around through the thread to look for the last vote count. we're communists, you know? we like the people's opinion!

Problem with that is knowing when the votes were last counted.

Thing is it only saves effort if you update after practically every vote as its harder to just add the last couple of votes on.

dont doubt the responisbility of the mod. but if you guys want me to do the standard vote count, thats fine. and with that:

Счет(Граф) Голоса(vote count)

N_lich-1 (Aelyn)
Lord Rahl-1 (ryanjunk)
Glork-1 (Coron)
ryanjunk-1 (VisMaior)
Aelyn-1 (N_Lich)
Warpdragon-1 (Glork)
Cogito Ergo Sum-1 (massive)

now that more than half of the players in the game have a vote, time to get some meaningfull discussion going! get meaningful! :x :P

Standard vote counts also help to check voting patterns much easier.
