-Cephrir is pushing a case he himself admits is shoddy in MYLO.
-He then goes on to justify his push by saying my reaction is scummy--without actually presenting a real reason why it's scummy except that I'm calling him scummy, which isn't in and of itself scummy.

His case isn't exactly that strong; that's pretty fucking true. But he's also narrowly avoided being lynched since pretty much actual Day 1. He's defended himself pretty well, I think, and his response to all of the shit against him has been pretty solid. His response to not getting the lender role, while strange as fuck, was also strangely town as shit. He could've fake claimed to receive it, he could've gone "haha. no. die scum." and gotten a pretty solid lynch on serrapaladin, but was fairly patient in figuring shit out, and got wheels moving again.

Mod Notes:
I just have a few comments on the game. First, I think what hurt the town the most, especially early on, is that the town either forgot to, or decided not to use their night actions. I don't know how much that would have changed things, but this set-up was designed to slowly give the town pieces of information, and that it was up to them to find out who was lying. I do know the GuyInFreezer made a mistake of telling Serra that he sent the Lender role to her. Had he not claimed that, scum wouldn't have known who was supposed to get that role. Since the mafia won I guess I gave them the right powers, but if I were to do this again I'd probably give them a Jailkeeper instead of a Janitor. My worry this whole game was if the set-up could remain balanced, and I think it was.

Ideally the set-up boils down to this idea. Weakening the town at the same rate the mafia gets weakened as the game goes on. I think power role heavy set-ups become extremely townsided once members of the mafia start to get killed. It's more devastating for the mafia to lose players than the town is. Also, I picked roles for the set-up so that the town couldn't all confirm themselves (like a bunch of you thought you could). I feel it's my job as a Mod to give every player of every faction to clear themselves via night actions some-what, so that day play can dominate. That's how I approach balance to a set-up. If the town can "confirm" themselves with ease, then I think the set-up is broken.

Things on my end. I think I made a mistake in automatically unvoting players who I either replaced for inactivity, or requested replacement. It did end up changing who was lynched Day 1, and I didn't like that I had a little influence on that by not letting hohum hammer before replacing out. But since I had already started the practice of unvoting players that get replaced I had to stay consistent.

The Lender role was essentially a modified Fruit Vendor or Friendly Neighbor (those roles inspired this one), to fit with the mechanics of this set-up. If it was used as scum, they got it as a fakeclaim the next night (thought they wouldn't have known who the intended recipient) after scum got it, the Lender role would be randomized like all the others.

I did enjoy getting to kill Kise and UT over and over again. That was fun.

It's also fun to watch people squirm. I did enjoy everyone freaking out when I posted that dead list Night 1. That was a moment I'll remember for quite some time.

Thanks for playing guys. I've been working on this set-up for a long time, and actually just held on to it out of sign-ups for months because I was anxious over it. I always worry that with every press of the send button on PM I am screwing something up and breaking the game.

I might do a sequel to this set-up depending on feedback. I can think of ways to make the set-up more difficult and have more variety.

I have no idea how HD got any votes that last day over Ceph/me... I was originally planning on going after Ceph hard, but when people sort of tacitly accepted the roleblocker thing, or at least ignored the fact that one of us was almost surely scum, I went along with that.

Loran was a horrible, horrible lynch, as he was basically cleared.

I did actually think of janitoring dani, but Nacho wasn't around.

One thing that surprises me is how little NK analysis this site does. I should not have survived as long as I did.

Also, I haven't done the numbers yet, but I think town could do quite well by No Lynching 4 or so times and correctly coordinating night actions and claims. I almost felt sorry for Jacob wanting to organize claiming, and everyone just shouting their roles out. Mislynches hurt town a LOT in this, by eliminating unknown roles from the setup. 3 dead by D2 helped a ton.

Scum can't reproduce the Motivator message, so that should give town 1 conf per day while the role is in play. If the Lender is used correctly, it could give another. We had no real way of hard-confirming ourselves like Vifam was, without tying us together.
