The game of the year: town won!

Rules:


1) Be nice. To me and to your fellow players.
2) You know how to vote. Do it bolded. Please don't use bolded text anywhere else.
3) Blue is my color. Please don't use colored text at all.
4) If you see a problem, pm me. Don't post about it in thread.
5) If you can't post for 2 weeks, I expect you back after that. Everybody will have to reread, everybody will miss stuff. You won't stand out.

Game Specific Rules:


1) You get an amount of lynches equal to amount of players/10 per day, rounded down. I'll do the math for you. This means you have 5 lynches d1. From 19 players on, this becomes normal again.
2) Lynches go by majority as normal, but the maximum amount of players needed for a lynch is 10. So, the first day you need only 10 to lynch, from 19 players on this becomes normal as well.
3) You get an equal amount of weeks per day as the amount of lynches you got. So day 1, you get 5 weeks to make 5 lynches.
4) Within a day, lynches do not reset the votes on other wagons.
5) People offered to help with the votecounts as players. That would help a lot. If you would do this, please use the color blue

Role pm's are out. I hope everything is understandable, because I'm not going to wait for 50 confirm pm's or posts. Day 1 has started!

You have 50 players, that means 5 lynches and 5 weeks to do so. It takes 10 to lynch someone.

Out of the two, I would much rather lynch redFF based on what I have seen of each of their play so far.

Idea: split into 5 random groups of 10, focus on 1group per week, lynch the scummiest from each group for 5 lynches in 5 weeks for the first day.

Pros: makes scumhunting more focused and natural
Scum unable to lurk through early days

Cons: some groups might not have scum

I wouldcontinue doing this for every day there are multiple lynches, so until19 players remain. Every new day reshuffle groups amd split into n groups where n= number of lynches. Always choose 1 lynch from each group.

Everyone just because there are 50-p does not mean we have to whittle down the playerlist by p. lynching if you wanted a smaller game you'd have played a smaller game amiright izak?

The cons are akin to the problems Nomination Mafia can suffer from. Sometimes when players are convinced that a lynch pool is all town or likely all town, the enthusiasm dies. In a game this large, losing momentum is deadly. I'm in favour pseudo-random lynching based on policy or whim for the first 5-10 deaths.

Keep discussion light until the game actually begins. If someone is super confident someone else is scum, maybe we could let them use a lynch and be put to the test.

first we lynch from group 1 then move on to 2 then etc. Look izak is already scum in group 1.

The difference is that these are large groups chosen purely randomly. We're not going to have the problem of thinking everyone in a group of 10 out of 50 is town, and we'll learn about the people in the other 4 groups by seeing who they choose to vote for and why providing us information in a focused manner.

I don't see how random and policy gives us anything useful except hope the numbers are favorable when people actually start playing. And scum voting block will likely make sure numbrs are not favorable. for town anyways.

Oh, I certainly think it's a bad idea and it doesn't help. But I do also want 50-PLAYER MADNESS.

PEdit: Hoopla is right. D1 policy lynches = good.

Then provide a good reason why not and why random and policy is better.
