If this wasn't a semi-bastard game, I would say yes 100%. Right now I'm hanging around 62% that it's a ploy. DRK does have good arguments as to why/how it could happen, but I am remembering other times I have played with her where she pulled stuff like this. It almost always works out well for the town, though, so I'm not too concerned.

Out of the other 10 players in the game, I haven't got clear reads yet, so I'll hold off on stating suspicions involving them for a little bit.

On the whole Maru-conf-town thing, I'm guessing Maru is probably town. As Umbrage said, scum wouldn't buddy each other so obviously, especially this early in the game. Although I still wouldn't rule out the possibility of DRK being scum, trying to score town points with Maru (and the rest of the town).

Buddying is the tactic used by one scum member to make a second TOWN member look scummy. A scum member will buddy up to a town member all game, so when the scum member flips scum, the town member looks suspicious!

1. Third-Party, EXCLUDING SERIAL KILLERS. Serial Killers is a one-man scum team. But third party are fun to fuck with town with.
2. CDT, GMT-5 (Central time zone, USA. Usually 6 hours behind, but we're in DST)
3. The funnest role I have ever played is a VooDoo Lady. However thsi was on EM. SInce it was chat-based it had different mechanics. ANYWAYS. The VooDoo Lady is scum-aligned and picks ONE person, and choses a word. If that person says that word at all that day, INSTA-DEAD. I had a macro that allowed me to play Russian Roulette by typing !roulette 1 6, and then 6 people would say !roulette. I got the mall used to it pre-game, then once the game started I would do it again, and BAM my unsuspecting target dies. So much LOLS and trollage.
The funnest role I have played on-site is -CENSORED-. Sorry. I'm playing it right now.

However, every time I have seen them asked, it causes town interaction, like so. The refusal to answer makes you curious, so you ask why, then they have to explain the nit starts back-and-forth.

Fine, I'll actually explain my stance on this:

The core issue with RQS is that the answers to RQS questions are rarely, if ever, based on alignment. My time zone doesn't change depending on whether or not I'm scum and neither does my favorite role. So great, let's say we've all been really friendly and chummy and we all know each other's favorite roles, alignments, time zones, and favorite colors. Now what? We're completely off-topic with the game and the RQS has effectively served as an adjustment period for scum. Scum are naturally going to have more trouble seeming town at the start of the game and we've just spent time making them comfortable. Not only are we back where we started; we're...farther back! Ouch.

The only way RQS can be useful is if someone has an outlandish reaction to it. I'm pretty sure I've only seen that happen once. There will be no RQS this game, even if I have to hunt down anyone in this game who supports it and kill them irl.
