Too many word whiskers, my movements were jerky at times. Need to slow it down some. Need to articulate a bit better and have some sort of basic script to follow. That way I don't sound so much like Forrest Gump having a bad day
Thanks though. I do think it wasn't too bad of a showing for a first effort.
My Uncle always use'ta say, 'You can't get no blood from a turnip.' .... He'd say the same thing about gettin' it from a stone, too.

I never said nothin' back to him. You don't want mess with no freak that's searchin' around that hard for blood.

Modded server down temporarily
We're having some kind of permissions glitch that the host needs to look at. A ticket was sent in and we're just waiting to hear back. So don't freak out if you try to connect and it says it's not available.

Maestro, try playing modded irl. I bet you could defeat North Korea with bees if you really tried, and it would be a hell of a way to waste time 'til the server is up.

Hmm, that seems odd. If the ticket system provides a way to make comments on ongoing tickets, you might want to add one saying it's still not working.
Is it still behaving the same way, deleting the server.properties after you put one out there?

Well. I just went into it and tried to start the server, and it let me. I also just checked the server properties file again and I'm able to access it now, but no word from QN about anything they may have done, so I still want to know what's going on.
I don't know what starting it up actually did, because it didn't join IRC. If you're on now, I could use someone to test the connection since I'm at work and don't have access to an instance of the game.

That's probably the arbitrary file they told it to use since you guys are probably using a custom JAR.

Right right. Sorry.
Second note: I keep getting massive chunk loading issues in my SSP Dw20 1.7 instance. How can I fix it?
It's literally unplayable.

Try reducing your permgen settings by 64 until it works better.

What memory parms are you using?
I would have said increasing. My scumpack 1.7 lagged until I bumped it.

Reducing makes them better? I've been increasing it
I think I was allocating 2GB max to it with like, 512MB permgen or so.

permgen and min/max ram are different things. put permgen at like 128 to start. put min ram at 512 and max at 1.5 GB.
