Im a mac user, most of you are windows users, we play on the same thing just fine. Xbox is a different version of the game so thats separate, yeah

Platform = win/linux/mac? No, all should be able to connect, but you need to be whitelisted.

If platform = vanilla / modded you can be whitelisted for both, no need to choose just one.

We do have a Vanilla server and people do play on it. The Vanilla server isn't as active as it used to be but there still seems to be a steady stream of players every other day or so. Modded server is by far more active but I think it may be due to the fact that we are connected to IRC.

Like other said, Mac/Linux/PC players can all play together, doesn't matter. Gaming consoles like PS3/4, Xbox 360/One are segregated.

I also need to find a good seed. What is a good time next weekend that everyone can be on the test server with me?

Edit: If you've been messing around with the pack in SSP and happen across a seed with a nice spawn area (mostly flat and clear but with trees and water in sight), you can type /seed in the game chat to display the seed. Post a screenshot of it here with the seed number so we can pick one.

we often like to build a little welcome area for new players. so something with a bit of open space and a easy to navigate way out of the area (i.e. not surrounded by mountain or volcano biome or taint etc). I also have plans for a portal hub at spawn so if there enough space to accommodate that would be fine.

usually we pick something that is like meadow or plains biome where an ocean is nearby and trees are not too far away.

oh I know that, but when you create a SSP in SP4 you want us to make it a Biomes of Plenty instance right? Else the seed will not have those biomes o plenty biomes.
