Started messing around on arena a bit today. I know how rankings work... but does anyone have a good idea on at least percentile ranking for each? Im hanging around low to mid level platinum while still learning maps/spawns and am not sure what that translates to beyond "platinum"

Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Diamond
Onxy (Elo is displayed beside the onyx rank)
Champion (top 200 players in the world for this playlist)

I hit platinum for breakout, feel as if platinum is average/just above average. Since you cannot go down a rank, but people can move up the average would be just above the median rank if that makes sense?

I got onyx for SWAT but elo of 1500. I don't know if you start at 1500 and move up or can be immediately higher, or whether you can get placed into champion after your placement games

Yeah I remember that much, I just was wondering if there was a known breakdown like:

Bronze (all players)
Silver (Top 80%)
Gold (Top 60%)
Platinum (Top 40%)
Diamond (Top 20%)
Onxy (Top 1%)
Champion (Top 200)

That makes sense, but im just curious on if there is something else.

I heard a rumor it was top 5% for onyx not sure though. From what I have seen on forums/reddit silver seems to be the lowest (well the lowest I have seen), and a lot of players are being put into plat/diamond after fairly average performances. Hopefully this is just a glitch and they aren't trying to let lower end players feel better by pushing the average into the top 2/3 ranks :/ some person lost 6 games and won 4, and got put into diamond?! that doesn't seem to be a good ranking system. Makes people feel good but then they aren't playing people at their skill level.
