The anime is epic in it's own right.

However,

The VN is always infinitely better by definition.

So like Fate/stay Night then? That was good, but the VN was awesome(except for the action scenes). As I hear, the scene where Shiro give Saber his magic circuit, in the anime he lays on Saber and has a trippy dream, in the VN, he just has sex with her.

I meant in the respect that the VN was better than the anime. This game is the first time I've encountered Higurashi, so I'm in no position to compare them.

My own answers:

1. This is my 8th game, the 2nd one on this site.
2. Depends. Lying is generally anti-town but I've seen a few games were a town lie helped the town.
3. No. Inactivity rarely determines alignment (but "active lurking" is a different story. When someone hangs around the thread alot but never posts any real content, this is a scumtell.)
4. I find that fake-scumhunting and suggesting a new lynch target doesn't work that well, it's usually seen as deflecting. I find alot of it is attitude, getting angry instead of depressed, providing a reasonable explanation for your behavior, and just voting for the next best lynch most of the time (that might be seen as scummy, but really thats would I would do as town. Town would rather lynch an unknown than a confirmed town (themselves).
5. Examples of when I would hammer are: a. When I am positive they are scum b. when it's not LyLo and they are the scummiest of the only viable lynch options

1.) I've played in a handful of handfuls.
2.) No. Lynch all unnecessary liars, hoss yea.
3.) Always and forever.
4.) Never happens. Never will. I AM LEGION.

I'll answer the questions, but remember that these aren't set in stone.

1.) I don't know.
2.) Yes
3.) No. Unless it's really late in the game, and they are actively lurking. I leave the responsibility of purging lurkers to the mod.
4.) Either I spew profanities about their mother, sister, and granny. Or I don't change a thing, and act as if I don't have a single vote on me.
5.) If I think they are scum.

1. I've lost count, but it's somewhere in the 10-15th range.
2. No. Lying as town can be useful. Unwarranted lying should be granted scrutiny though.
3. I'd take it case-by-case, but as a general rule, no, unless there are no better options that are likely to arise. Lynching lurkers is usually wasteful.
4. Use my septuple vote to destroy a lucky player chosen by random.org, obviously.
5. When there's a general consensus, or I just think they're obvscum.
