I thought you might have been softclaiming cop, since cops show up to gunsmiths as having guns but don't kill anyone. Or gunsmith itself. Or a vig that killed with a knife or something. The last thing I'd have come up with is VT, because softclaiming vanilla is utterly retarded.Equinox wrote:Don't read "I do not have bullets" as "I have bullets."-

Oh right, since apparently I didn't say it earlier--Tasky shoulddefinitelybeen modkilled ITT. However, if that had happened - in fact if anything role-relatedly different had happened short of H getting killed before D3 - scum would have lost this game in much less of a contest.
I mean really. Imagine D3 again, without Tasky (having been modkilled D2), with chamber dead (via AV's shot N2), probably with EquiJailer targeting people other than H or AV. In fact you don't even need to throw Equinox in to see how messed over we would have been.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.-

"Fairness" shouldn't have had anything to do with it though. We can criticize game balance all we want (I still think what is prominently called "balanced" even in this game is actually Town-sided with a good chance of power roles crowding out the scum) but it shouldn't factor into a clear rules break.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.-

Yeah. Thinking back, it's kind of hard to overstate the effect that post had: like I said, I was about thirty seconds away from confirming my vote, and I basically switched to a town read because of the MD omgus discussion.
Cop/Vig/JK vs goon/GF/RB isn't unbalanced at all. Indeed, part of my thinking day three was that with those three town roles, RB-only was more balanced than RB-GF. Of course, it just underlines my most strongly held belief about mafia: towns which stupidly out their roles lose.-

Then again, notice that none of those roles were outed via lynch/claim (nor were they going to be).The Fonz wrote:Cop/Vig/JK vs goon/GF/RB isn't unbalanced at all. Balance is something we can fruitlessly argue about elsewhen.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.-

Actually, the pressure was fine; I deserved it for being a dolt and softclaiming. You shouldn't have fixated on it being a vig claim specifically, though.AurorusVox wrote:I shouldn't have been over Equi so hard for that post
Yeah, I probably should have. I'd say I'll keep this in mind for next time, but there won't be a next time. >_>The Fonz wrote:Meh, by the time you came in, he'd already outed himself as power. He should never, ever have said 'It was a breadcrumb.' It would have been better to take the heat, and claim if he ended up facing lynch.
Now that I think about it, I don't think I was under that much pressure when I claimed; it was just the 3 of you who were all over it, and everyone else either ignored it or didn't think it was a huge scum tell. Sigh.-
