And why are we doing the 'let's not scumhunt and just lynch someone some of us have a personal problem with instead' thing? And what is with this 'no quotes' thing? Am I missing something here? Some legit reasoning behind it that pertains to an epic level of scumhunting I haven't learned of?

The no quotes thing pertains to the rules, most notably:

The Hypnotists may be able to hypnotize a player to do two things on the same night. If this occurs, the hypnotized player will only fulfill the second task if "triggered" during the subsequent Day. If a "trigger" occurs, the hypnotized player must be quoted by the player who hypnotized him or her, while exactly saying a phrase of at least three words under the quoted post.

For example, suppose I were hypnotized (note: this is not possible) to do two things on the same Night. The trigger phrase is "I like trying." If the Hypnotist who hypnotized me quoted me, while saying "I really don't like this mechanic, PJ is trying too hard," that would fail to trigger my second action.

if we don't quote, no one can be hypnotized to do two things at once.

Whether or not you had surgery does not excuse the fact that you are knowingly breaking a game rule. It is not difficult to turn caps lock from “on” to “off.” If posting in caps somehow alleviates your pain, then you can post in caps somewhere besides this game.

On top of posting in caps lock, you have almost surely breached the “be civil” requirement, which is the first rule of the game. One of my most important goals as a moderator is to keep the game fun for all players. Please tone down your posts, or I will resort to having you replaced.

I assume we would grill him on his participation, or his role, or whatever else people wanna ask him, I mean... he did get to L-1 for absolutely no reason other than him being himself. Either people are going to want to ask him something, or no one is going to care and they will BBQ him (grilled two ways, har har) and live with the consequences.

I don't know the guy well enough, but this is twice now (in two games) where I have seen this guy get slammed about his character and policy lynches being asked of or wagons being formed.


Coming from my own personal commentary on the matter, the wagon is probably more important, though this wagon really sucks because absolutely everyone looked opportunistic. I'd prefer we didn't lynch less than 2-3 days into the first day of the game, especially hardly knowing what MPR's role even is, and even more espeically since Black Mist, Budja, and MPR haven't even posted.

What was your anger response in retaliation to? Animorph claiming the hammer is lynched next, or some other pissy moment? Also, the "no quoting" rule is obviously hard for some people, thoughts?

One final note... I think that this "no quoting" thing is going to be rather difficult. It's almost second nature, and I have to fight the compulsion myself to not do it sometime.

I don't think gandalf is scum. The "no quoting rule" is a good tghing to have, but with other players screwing up (and a town read on gandalf besides), I'm not interested in lynching him.
Fate is awesome and town.
I'm willing to bet MPR is town due to the popularity of his wagon no strong objection.

I personally feel that a person regardless of anything should be civil with the people they are playing a game with and obey rules, rather than becoming overbearing and seemingly rude. But that's just how I see things. I don't have anyone to vote for yet, but with Fate's personality, I feel it would interfear with scumhunting. IMHO.

Also, Budja, how do you know if Fate is town or not? (assuming the awesome from meta)
