Welcome to Dirty Dirty South Mafia. Please be aware that this game will be using the Deep South mechanic. A full description of this mechanic can be found here: Deep South mechanic. This game will be largely unflavored but still packed full of fun, so I hope you enjoy the game!
As an aside, for some reason, the name that I chose for this game reminds me of one of my all-time favorite old school Nintendo games "Wild Gunman". In the spirit of that game, I'll be using that as my game's picture.
The tall one always gave me the creeps while the short and stumpy one was always a tough one to kill. Anywho, here's your list of players:
Steam-Powered Shovel, Townie, endgamed Day 5[/list]

Remember that this is a game. Please enjoy yourself! =)
Do not quote any PMs sent to you by me. This includes any additional PMs I may send to you outside of your role PM. Doing so will automatically get you mod-killed. Mod-kills will automatically end the day.
Please keep all conversation within the thread unless your role PM specifies otherwise. If I find out that chatting is going on outside of the thread, you will be mod-killed.
If you have any questions about the game, please feel free to PM me.
Please confirm your role to me via PM.
No invisible text may be used within the thread. If you have editing abilities, you may not edit your posts.
Voting, Lynching, and Death
Votes should be cast using the following format –
Vote: Person X
. I will not count votes that are not
bolded
. Unvoting is not required, but it is helpful and will make me happy. You wanna make me happy, right?
Normal lynching will require a majority of votes. However, if a majority is not reached at deadline, the player with the most votes at the end of the Day will be lynched. In the event of a tie, the player who reached the number first will be the one who is lynched. You may
Vote: No Lynch
if you decide that you do not want to lynch during the Day. Once the number of votes reaches the number required for a lynch to occur, that decision is final. Any subsequent unvotes will not be counted. You (everyone except the person who has been lynched) may feel free to converse during this period (called Twilight) until I move the game forward into the next Day phase.
Important: If you get killed or are lynched, you are dead. You may not post anything afterwards. Not even a “Bah!” post. Srsly. Save it for post-game discussion.
Activity
I expect everyone to post regularly. If I see that a player has not posted for longer than a 24 hour time period and the player has not notified me about this, I will prod said player. If the person fails to pick up his her/prod within 24 hours of the prod, that player will be replaced. If you are prodded more than three times, you will be replaced (negotiable). If you are prodded, you must respond to the prod in-thread. Please note that weekends will not count as 48 hours but will instead count as a total of 24 hours towards a particular game Day.
Treat this game as a commitment and be courteous to your fellow players. I find that this is the best way for everyone to enjoy the game. Thanks. =)
Each Day will automatically have a set deadline of 96 hours (4 days). Since this is a "Swift Game", I will not be open to extending these limits for any reason. Use them wisely.
Golden Rule Reiterated
Again, remember to have fun! =D

(based on Raging Rabbit's Really Deep South rules)
This game will have three phases:
1)
Morning
- defined as the first
48 hours
of each Day (the count starts with the mod's "start of Day __" post). Actions may be submitted during the morning phase, but instead of resolving instantaneously, they resolve simultaneously at the end of the morning phase, as they would in a normal game Night. This is going to be done to prevent this from becoming a race for being the first to "pull the trigger" at the start of each Day. Actions submitted between the 48 hour mark and the mod's "end of Morning" post will count regularly, so try to submit everything on time. Submitting an action during the Morning phase renders you incapable of submitting another one during the Afternoon.
2)
Afternoon
- defined as the period between the moderator's "end of Morning" post, and when either (a) the deadline is reached, or (b) a vote is cast that places a player past the 50%+1 threshold necessary for a lynch. During the Afternoon phase, actions can be submitted (assuming the player submitting an action did not act during the morning phase), and resolve instantaneously – meaning they take effect as soon as I'm here to resolve them, and in the exact order in which they were submitted. Kills, of course, will be resolved publicly.
3)
Twilight
- defined as the period between (a) the deadline and the following "Start of Day ___" post, or (b) the time of the final valid vote necessary for a lynch or no lynch was cast and the following "Start of Day ___" post. Role actions are not valid if they are submitted during periods of twilight.
-~-~-~
Three basic categories of actions
:
a. Instant actions:
like kills and cop investigations.
b. Rest of Day actions:
like block or protect. Take effect from the time the action is submitted, until the end of day.
c. End of Day actions:
tracker or watcher receive results, other special roles may have choices made at end of day.
-~-~-~
Below is a sample role PM. There is at least one of these in this game:

Hello, everyone.
I don't know most of you, so I am unsure who the scum are right now. But you should all know this:
I am listening to dumb lectures every day getting ready for finals. No music. No fun. No Happiness.
Thus, I am not to be trifled with.
That is all.
And Happy Birthday, Hoopla .
Oh, ps:
VOTE: MAEMUKI
For mishandling your PR in haylens game. That could have been a much cleaner win.

Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
Then a week goes by and it goes untouched
Then two, then three, then a month
Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up
@ Hoopla: The "apathetic whining" you speak of was a combined result of sleep deprivation, school-related stress, and frustration with [REDACTED - ONGOING GAME], for which I apologize. You won't see it happen again.
No need for an RVS, this is game on. Elli, do that thing which you and DGB do where you convince people to lynch your target. If you, me and Hoopla all agree, we must be onto something.
