So you think you can make people laugh harder than others? Let's find out.
The premise behind the game is that a photo, drawing, cartoon, etc. will be posted and each player will PM me a caption. I'll then post the picture again with the choices below but without the author's name. Everyone who submitted a caption gets to vote on their favorite caption (but can't vote for themselves). Some rounds will have no directions. Some will offer directions.
Points are determined as follows:
1 point for every vote.
1 point for winning the round outright (none for tying).
Points in the final (7th) round are doubled.
Rules:
1. You may begin to play at any time... all you have to do is submit a caption by the deadline.
2. You may not vote if you did not submit a caption.
3. If you do not vote, any points from votes you received will be negated.
4. You may NOT indicate which caption is your own.
5. During the voting stage you may not campaign for a certain caption. You may not change your vote once placed.
6. You may chat as you wish during the caption submitting stage.
7. Please vote for the caption you like best; don't try and game the system. This is for fun.
8. The listing of choices will be in random order each round so as not to prejudice any voting by where it's located on the list.
I'm happy to adjust deadlines as people desire, but I prefer a quick game, so I'm saying 48 hours to submit a caption and 48 hours to vote.
