Open 204: Friend and Enemies Over

Friends and Enemies

A wise man once said,"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." But lately, I'm starting to wonder
how
close you should keep those enemies...well, shouldn't worry on it much now should we?

I shake my head, and hop up onto the stool. "Strange things going on lately. Old friends fightin', enemies makin' peace. Just kinda screwy. Whadda' you think?" I wait for a moment, as if waiting for the wind to respond. As i was clearly the only thing listening. "Heh, doesn't matter what you's think anyways."

Rules

1. Unless your role states otherwise, no communication about the game is allowed outside of this thread. That includes communication with living players, dead players, and non-players.
2. No faking a quoted mod PM (including pictures). Not even partial quoting.
3. Editing your posts is not allowed. If you make a spelling or grammar mistake, clarify what you mean in a second post.
4. All votes must be bolded (Vote: Xsyven).
5. To get rid of your vote, simply unvote (unvote). It is not necessary to unvote before voting a new player.
6. A lynch will occur when a majority has been reached. Day will end with a lynch.
7. You may vote for a 'no lynch' if desired. If a majority of the players in the game vote for to no lynch, the game will progress to night without a lynch. If the deadline comes and the 'no lynch' option does not have the majority vote but still has the most votes of any option, then there will be a no lynch.
8. If the deadline hits and a majority has not been found, no one will be lynched and night will begin.
9. If a lynch occurs, then the game enters Twilight, where all living players apart from the player who has been lynched are allowed to freely converse (but not allowed to cast any votes) until I post a death scene.
10. Once you are dead (flavor has been posted), you are allowed to make one final "bah go town/scum!" post, but nothing of substance.
11. I'm willing to extend deadlines in the event of extenuating circumstances. This is purposely left vague.
12. Treat this game as a commitment. You are requested to post at least once every 72 hours. Failure to do so will result in prodding. An accumulation of three prods will result in your replacement or a modkill depending on the circumstances.
13. If you are unable to participate for a period longer than 72 hours, please PM me or post in thread.
14. Do not post in
Green
, it is the mods color.

Day 1

"Take m'words to heart," I asked as I ate an apple,"Heh. They never do, damned fools." The familiar whistle of the wind blew, rustling my hair. "Seems you understand, a shame the others never will." The floor beneath my feet creaked as I stood, stretching out.

A deadline has been set for the 5th of March at 11:59:59pm.

Since it has almost been 24 hours, and don_johnson has been the only one to not confirm I will go ahead and begin the game. If he has not confirmed in another 24 hours, a replacement will be seeked.

But its ongoing, so discuss later.

Obv scum, lets get more votes over heah thanks in advance.

Mindgamer, why is it boring to play w/people you know?
discoroboto, do you like techno?
don_jonnson, what is your view on lurkers?
pwnman, how experienced would you say you are?
light, why do you identify with a criminal character?
paltryexcuse, explain your avatar.
water_foul, what would you do if I voted you?
kunkstar7, do you usually turbolurk?
farside22, what's your opinion on day vs night start for this setup?
hewitt, do you prefer RVS or attempting to get out of RVS as soon as possible?

@Excedrin: If the game is moving I'm there, as there is information and content to comment on and form opinions on. If the game dies down then so does my interest and my posting level, as there is nothing really constructive I can add to a day where there have been no new posts and I was one of the most recent posts. So keep the game moving!

So you're saying it's good to play in a reactive way instead of active.

It's fine to lurk in the shadows and STRIKE when the time is right.

Yea, you know who lurks in the shadows?

Serial killers. Also Werewolves.

Yea you could say that, I tend to be a more reactive player. Although there are no Serial Killers or Werewolves in this game. :P Want to be a Serial Killer sometime though.

I do not prefer the RVS. I find the game much more interesting out of RVS but the pace at which it takes to get out of it is not so much of importance to me.

henceforth and wherefor art thou i hitherto proclaim that etcetera etcetera and a peculiar amount of hemoglobin generally creates an atmosphere of undeniable angst and frustration directed forth at the naysayers and the whatnots. so, yeah.

Mindgamer, why is it boring to play w/people you know?
Quite the opposite. It's fun to play with people you know. Why? I don't know, that's just the way it is. Counterquestion: Why would it be boring to play with people you know?

Not saying playing with unknown people is boring of course. Meeting new people and discovering new playstyles is fun as well.

For needing an RVS disclaimer in their vote.
Excedrin wrote:explain your avatar.
It's a moose crossing sign. I'm Canadian and hence affiliated with the moose.

@Excedrin: You both RV'd and made questions for all. Do you prefer a RVS or a RQS?

farside22, what's your opinion on day vs night start for this setup?
I personally hate as a player night start games. Anyone who signs up looking forward to playing the game dies N0 and all that excitement to play is shut down without a word.

I agree with this and it only does good for the mafia. The mafia knows who isn't mafia so they can kill indiscriminately and the town doesn't get any information out of it except if the mafia got lucky.

My apologies everyone, for some reason every time I tried to reply it sent me back to the home page, not to mention half of the time I couldn't find the game lol.

hahaha excderin

i actually wanted the username "L" but i thought it would be too short. My username has in no way, any affiliation with my role what so ever, just to get that clear.

now its my turn to ask you a question.

What is the meaning of your username?
