awesome. are you planning on making the summer olymnpics? or do they frown upon webbed toes? :)

this game needs a car battery hooked to its nipples. or maybe that's me.

Is your game stagnating? What you need is some questions!

@hewitt: How do you approach a single scum team game and a multiple scum team game differently?

@don_johnson: Does your strategy change at all when comparing open to normal games?

@kunkstar7: Do you think it's better to start conversation or wait for it to be started?

@Mindgamer: Would you call yourself and aggressive or passive player?

@DiscoRoboto: How would you suggest we get out of RVS?

@farside22: Does your modding help you get a better read on people when you play a game?

@pwnman: Do you think information can be gleaned out of the RVS late game?

@Excedrin: Same question as in my previous post.

@Light: Do you think asking about avatars will progress us out of RVS?

@McGriddle: Do questions like this hurt or help the town?

@water_foul: Why did you answer a question I think was meant for Excedrin?

@farside22: Does your modding help you get a better read on people when you play a game?
If that player is in a game I modded it does help but it's just like being a player in a game you start to establish meta on certain types of players. Some are easier to read then others of course.

@Everyone: what is the best way to get out of RVS stage?

my answer: Usually I find something to fight with someone about even something minor.
Here's an example: Why did Excedrin vote for McGriddle for not voting when he didn't post in the game at that point?
Sarcasm is just a way of saying how stupid you think someone is but in a more polite way.

How I suggest we get out of the RVS? I like the RVS D:

Eh, yeah usually there's just a squarrel(spelling?) about something which leads to some interesting replies.

I think the questions are great, they spark discussion, the only downside is that they can spark a wrong answer and lead to a mislynch.

Not really. My first game in mafia somebody called someone a pedofile and he got lynched before he could explain himself. This was during RVS

Someone has to be a conversation starter to have a conversation. If I need to be that start then so be it.

@Don_johnson, why do you see Mcgriddle's post as a complete waste? He was responding to Paltry's questions.

RVS stands for Random Vote Stage. Where people randomly vote other people for random reasons to see what reactions come up. These reactions are usually the point of discussion that lead us into more serious discussion. Also there is the RQS, random question stage, which you are seeing more of here, with Paltry's and Excedrin's questions. Same purpose though.

PaltryExcuse wrote:@hewitt: How do you approach a single scum team game and a multiple scum team game differently?
In a single scum team game I come in a little bit less focused and look deeply for connections among players. In a multiple scum team game I tend to look a little bit more at who is the scummiest seeming and would X player make sense being X scum team.

There, I started an attack. How are we out of the RVS now? The answer is no.

The way to get out of the RVS is to actually discuss something, ask questions about things people say. Ask ask ask. If nobody says questionable things, stay in the RVS until somebody does.

That was not an attack. That was a vote with no basis. An attack involves analyzing something someone says, finding something suspicion in it and pressuring them for reasons/reactions. That is an attack that will get us out of the RVS. Do you really believe that an avatar an be a source of scumminess?

Well with one like yours...

No, 'an attack' has no criteria. An attack can be anything even silly as what I did. If you set no criteria for said attacks it won't inform Town of anything.

Starting some discussion. Like this:
DiscoRoboto wrote:The way to get out of the RVS is to actually discuss something, ask questions about things people say. Ask ask ask. If nobody says questionable things,
stay in the RVS until somebody does.
We all agree that the RVS in itself is not something from which the town can benefit, right? Then why would somebody advise to stay in the RVS? Town wants to get out of the RVS as soon as possible, scum doesn't

I didn't advise to stay in RVS.

It's obvious that you are getting scumtells just because you disregard the context. How do you get out of RVS if there's nothing to talk about?

Guess this is the way out right now though.

By starting to talk yourself. If everyone would think like you, everybody would 'stay in the RVS until somebody says questionable things'. This would eventually come down to everyone keeping their mouth shut, because no one would start talking, and thus no one would say questionable things.
The RVS is fun and all, but it's not something we should base scumhunting on. Your attitude is quite anti-town.

yes. please look at mcgriddle's answer to pe's question more closely. this is exactly what he is saying. "the downside" of discussion is that it may lead to a mislynch. its a cop out. what is the alternative to discussion on a text based forum?

Wrong, somebody does not exclude yourself.

Your attitude might not be anti-town, but it's idiotic to say the least. You're basing your 'accusations' on things you pull out of context and you ignore what is said.
