Go for it.

I see people post things like Bob did on the end of the post there all the time, and they don't really mean them, just like you didn't mean the whole "Everybody pile onto this vote for the first page!" bit. So, I didn't take it as a serious reason.
My posts are best read in the calm, reassuring voice of Morgan Freeman. I don't sound anything like him, but they sound best that way.

Temporarily retiring following the end of my current obligations.

Hmm. I think Neto is looking scummier and scummier. I mean, there has only been one main claim against him (and that's the whole "no claim/bad claim" thing) - but he keeps trying to defend himself, and that's what I did in my first two games as scum.

No, I'm not saying that, I'm saying constantly defending oneself over and over for the same point is scummy.

I don't know. I guess it's frustrating to see someone doing the same things that I did before, but not know what to do about it.

I would like to see where everyone is at before I comment on the most recent discussion. Just so I have a firm idea of where we are at.

Vote: Sakako

Towards the end of my back-and-forth with Neto, I was doing exactly what I claimed to be doing - harassing him. Sure, he was the scummiest player, but not as scummy as I was trying to play him off as.

I liked Reckoner's pressure/vote on Neto. It seemed to have an early game pro-town mindset to it. Pressure someone and get something going.

I don't like Sakako's jump onto Neto. It has more of a "hmm, it looks like this case might stick" kind of mindset to it. He did add on something new to the case on Neto, but it looks more like an add-on for the sake of having something to put down than it does like a real part of a case. Basically, a way to avoid looking like he was just bandwagoning someone with a couple of votes.

My vote is better placed on Sakako than on Neto.

Despite all this talk about RVS and how we will never leave. I actually thing we have people are forming arguements and such to back up their votes. I have nothing to point towards Reck being scum so therefore me vote has been pulled.

Neto is always a bit shitty on Day 1 so I will let that slide for now. (This is why you always read everyones wiki page.)
Anyways, my opinion on Sakako is that he has found himself in the big bad world that is everything non-newbie and is having difficulties staying afloat. So I'm not all that suspicious of him either.

Is it just me or have some people put random vote down then sat back and watched what everyone else is doing and only posting to escape the prod. That just seems strange especially early on when the pressure is light. I have my eye on a few people but noone warrants a vote yet in my eyes.

. My pressure vote did what I wanted it to and started discussion. The fact that Sak jumped on the wagon then couldn't adequately explain himself is enough to warrant a vote from me.

I was hoping Nik would post before the wagon was derailed, but alas, Sakako is a much better vote. Huzzah!

Sorry, I was away. >.>

@reck: It can sometimes be a town-tell, I suppose. I guess it's hard if there's only one real case that anyone's making on someone (which is the case here.)

@Neto: What I would have done is to say that I already talked about that, and then say that it didn't need to be taken further.

I really don't think I'm a much better vote than anyone at this moment in time, not even Neto. >.>

If I feel that there is a misunderstanding about what I said, I generally repeat myself unless I have done so several times. It's generally seen as pro-town to do so.

Okay. That makes sense to me. But it didn't look as if Reck was paying attention to anything you said at all, making you repeat nearly the exact same thing over and over again.

In fact, if I think about it, it could have been a trap, trying to make you contradict yourself. I've fallen into one of those before.

So you're saying it's okay to vote without a reason so long as its not a first vote?

Also, I don't like your statement regarding early lurking, it seems like an excuse not to participate.

@Reckoner
What changed between your vote and your previous post that made you decide to vote now?

@Sakako
What makes you think it was a trap? If a trap like that has caught you as scum, what makes it scummy to set a trap like that?

1) How was I making Neto repeat himself?

2) That's pretty typical of an OMGUS vote: vote me with some loose reasoning strung together and say it's not OMGUS. In fact, you're saying "There's an off-chance you could have had this whole thing set up from the start and tried to trip Neto up, which in turn tripped me up, and now you're trying to pin it on me." Think about it, folks - in order for Sak's weak theory to be true, he's saying I basically counted on him coming to Neto's aid. Because if my goal was to entrap Neto, why'd I back off the dude the moment I saw a real opportunity?

3) Aside from all of that - even if I wasn't just voting Neto for pressure and it was a serious attempt at a lynch wagon - I find it convenient that you've now hopped on the two leading wagons when they both had two votes on them. You just skyrocketed from being maybe scum to likely scum.

Monkey: The reverse, actually, if you read that. I hate all random votes, but random votes which are the only vote on that player are excusable because they are so common.

You can feel free to suspect me for this. I honestly could care less. I've been lynched for it before, but I'm not going to change my playstyle to appear more townie, since that's what scum players do, and since I don't want to ring any false bells based on that. I can link to at least 3-4 games in which I make these same arguments as town, and if you check my Wiki page (Last updated November 2009, I really need to update), I emphasize the same sentiments.
