Who has two thumbs and drew the first serious vote?

THIS GUY!

@Shotty- What makes you think you drew the first 'serious' Vote? Unless you're suggesting that the other Vote-getters have only 1 thumb.

unvote vote Shotty

If he wants a counterwagon so bad, I say we give him one. I also don't like when people make posts to acknowledge they're being wagoned, but trying to joke it off, and not do anything else.

What else do you expect him to do at this stage of the game?

Although I guess he could have asked why.

Then I'd get votes for being too worried about a vote on page 1.

I don't like when people joke about getting votes, but he didn't comment on LL wagon or MIC wagon, instead trying to start a third wagon which is slightly scummy.

I do think he's now proceeded in to the realm of active lurking as well, with most of his posts being useless.

I don't agree with what's being said against SttB. It's possible, I guess, but it's not something I'm prepared to vote him on.

I'll keep you posted though, charter.

Active lurking on page 2! Shit, he got me.

Why is starting a third wagon scummy?

I didn't see the need to comment on an RVS pileup, nothing substantive there to work with.

Actually, my opinion is that the pro-town thing would be to try and figure out the motivation behind my vote. I see no reason why people would say you were "worried" if you asked something along the lines of "Why is your vote serious?".

This wagon needs more choo-choo to it.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder,
without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better,
and not the world about them?

Eh, not a fan of Charter's reasoning. Random bandwagon is random, I don't see a reason for any actual serious reaction if the bandwagon is not serious as well.

You're trying to undermine the two wagons that are already going which normally prove informative later on. Basically impeding the process by which people get early reads on wagonees.

I don't think his joking about getting votes is scummy, since I've never figured out when someone does it if they're scum or town, just useless. I just don't care for it.

Regarding charter versus Shotty...

-On the topic of undermining the 2 wagons, I could go either way.
-On the topic of joking about garnering Votes, this early I see no real problem with it. Were it later in the Day, I'd feel differently.
-On the topic of active lurking, I definitely side with Shotty.

@charter- Are you seriously accusing Shotty of actively lurking on page 2?

@Konowa- What are your 'serious' reasons for Voting Shotty?*

*Disclaimer- I know I potentially won't get my answer for a few days.

I'm saying that he's making quite an effort to post and making quite an effort to not say anything. I call that active lurking, you can call it what you want.

The third wagon or my attempt to 'impede' the other two gives just as much info if not more than if everyone had just blindly gone along and said 'Now what?' or waited for same random nothing to start another over.

I don't see how my posts are lacking in content given where we are. I make one joke post on page 2 and suddenly I'm actively lurking? Lol.

@Konowa: I'm not concerned about votes on me*, but I am concerned about scum-hunting and I believe this bit of fun has produced a fairly good amount of information to go on for page 2.

*especially on page 1

I believe charter's actual opinion has been summed up in this quote. (key parts in bold)

I can't decide if he's scum trying to take advantage or town that's trying too hard, have to sleep on it.

charter gets some early town points with me. I like the early jump in scum hunting, even if I don't agree with the active lurking assessment. He's got his sleeves rolled up ready to get to work. A big plus.

Shotty's reaction doesn't do much for me. The counter wagon thing was strange but nothing he has posted has felt scummy.

Shotty case is weak. Konowa and Hoopla have made somewhat decent points, but being purposely cautious so as to not appear worried is something I've done as town, so I don't consider it a strong scumtell. Charter is very passionate as always, but I'm not sure what kind 'usefulness' he's expecting to see in Shotty's posts at this point in the game (and I don't get the 'undermining' and 'impeding' thing at all).
