Ladies and gentlemen, thank you again for volunteering for our little experiment. I hope you've enjoyed my little tour of the department, but now we've come to the part you've all been waiting for. Behind this door is where you'll be spending the next several days. And, of course, afterwards you'll get your checks and we'll all have cake. Very exciting!
Now... it's.. no... um... okay, here we go. Watch your step please, watch your step, this is a rather narrow stairway. It was built back in the '40's to serve - WOOPS there you go! - as a bomb shelter, because, well, obviously our little university was first on the Red's list, right?
Okay, let's see, we have 1.. 4.. 7... 9... 12, good, we're all here. Welcome home ladies and gentlemen, here's where the fun starts. I'm sure you're all wondering what exactly we're going to be doing. I've been circumspect on purpose, because I wanted to make sure the experiment didn't get tainted. So, um, here I have a special role for each of you on these... er... wait... yes, these index cards here. I'll just fan them out and each of you can ... haha, eager beaver eh? There you go, there you go, just one please, thank you.
Good. Now, the rules are that, while you are down here, you must act according to the profile on that card. You'll each get a bedchamber .. they're down that hallway, there... to spend the night. Every day you gather here, and follow the instructions on the card. There's a couple of bathrooms at the end of that hall, and the kitchen here is well stocked for all of us for the next several days.
Now, one last detail. I've asked that we not be disturbed under any circumstances during the experiment, as that could really affect things. So from this point on we're on our own down here. My assistant and I will be keeping out of sight as much as possible. Over the next couple days, please do what feels natural.
Okay, with that I'll let you all get settled in your rooms. Come Candi, let's go get erm ready for the experiment.
This game uses the BaM ruleset. You can find the ruleset here. Please pay special attention to deadline and activity rules.
Game-Specific Rules

The next morning the group is woken by alarm clocks promptly at 7am. Oddly enough, though, it's only the 12 that wake. After shuffling about for a while someone finally makes their way over to the professor's room, only to make a horrifying discovery.
Seems people are taking their cards a little too literally.

Agreed.
Alakazam / Feraligator / Venosaur / Tyranitar are all far better.

What about my logic, reck?

Well, it's not that Flareon's just a bad Pokemon, he's also useless as a Fire-type considering he has low Sp. Atk. So he's bad for his type. The Pokemon you chose were good overall, not just for their type. So therefore my logical choice was more superior than yours.

Mah feraligator uses crunch on you, and you die!
Anyway, flareonage needs to die for being an inferior species.
for serious.

He doesn't need to die, he needs to die because he's a shitty pokemon. Your logic did not include that.

Okay, I left out the why, but I had the right path of action!

This seems really strange to me. There are a few possibilities here:
1)He actually wants us to lynch him. This could mean:
a)He doesn't want to play this game. Seems very unlikely
b)He wants the other side to win. Also unlikely
c)He has a role that wins if it is lynched. Is there such a thing?
2)He doesn't want us to lynch him.
a)Reverse Psychology. A little blatant for that.
b)He wants to confuse us. I find this most likely.
I find 1c a scary possibility, and the second most likely possibility if there is such a role.
