Decathlon [Congratulations Sudo_Nym!]

from here

A decathlon consists of ten independent disciplines: 100 Metres, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400 Metres, 110 Metre Hurdles, Discus, Pole-Vault, Javelin and 1500 Metres.
The players try to score as many points as possible in each discipline using various dice rolls. The player with the highest total of points after the ten disciplines wins the competition.
The rules for each discipline are unique, and will be specified when the discipline begins.
This is a jump /in game; though there is a sign-up period, people can start with Event 1 at any time, and then catch up to the group.

Players decide the order of play in the first discipline
by the roll of a die
in any order (
Roll 1d100 when going /in to determine tiebreakers
). From the second discipline onwards, the leading player always starts, followed by the player with the second highest running total and so on. Ties are resolved by the starting die roll.

If a discipline consists of several attempts, all first attempts are played first, then all second attempts, and so on. Similarly, if a discipline goes over several heights, all players have three consecutive jumps at the first height, then all players jump the next height and so on.

When a player finishes a discipline, his best result is added to his previous running total to form his new running total. The person with the highest score after all 10 disciplines is the winner.

Honours

The three best players in each discipline win honours. First place wins Gold, worth 15 honours. Second gets Silver, worth 10. Third gets Bronze, worth 5. Honours are worth 1 point each at the end of the game.

You better hope you can pay them off or else you'll have a painful time this game.

You know what?
Let's give everyone an idea of the game, and get it going right now.
That requires a slight rule change.
First round is in random order, everyone does the 100m when they want. Future rounds are off total score.

Throw four dice. If you are not satisfied with the result, pick up all four dice and rethrow them. This can be repeated several times until you freeze the first set. Then throw the other four dice and proceed in the same manner. Try to freeze sets of dice with high values but which contain no sixes.

You have a maximum of five rethrows, which may be divided between the sets as desired.

Scoring:
Total the value of the dice for numbers one to five, but subtract any sixes from the result.

An example 100m Dash with 3 rethrows resulting in 25 points.
