A decathlon consists of ten independent disciplines: 100 Metres, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400 Metres, 110 Metre Hurdles, Discus, Pole-Vault, Javelin and 1500 Metres.
The players try to score as many points as possible in each discipline using various dice rolls. The player with the highest total of points after the ten disciplines wins the competition.
The rules for each discipline are unique, and will be specified when the discipline begins.
This is a jump /in game; though there is a sign-up period, people can start with Event 1 at any time, and then catch up to the group.
Players decide the order of play in the first discipline
If a discipline consists of several attempts, all first attempts are played first, then all second attempts, and so on. Similarly, if a discipline goes over several heights, all players have three consecutive jumps at the first height, then all players jump the next height and so on.
When a player finishes a discipline, his best result is added to his previous running total to form his new running total. The person with the highest score after all 10 disciplines is the winner.
The three best players in each discipline win honours. First place wins Gold, worth 15 honours. Second gets Silver, worth 10. Third gets Bronze, worth 5. Honours are worth 1 point each at the end of the game.
