Fair enough. In order to build up to the "look how townie I am" second part of his post I guess.

I don't know why he is even opening up any sort of discussion of who might or might not have roles at this point.

I'm opening up a conversation because the sooner RVS ends and conversation starts, the easier it is to scum hunt.

As far as I can see, there are two points against me.

One, I was encouraging people to speed up the drafting process by explaining why there's no need to wait for the mod before picking.

Two, I'm ALWAYS interested in how games differ from standard mafia, and this game has interested as usual. Normally you have no idea who has roles and who doesn't, but this time around we know at least one person who does. This is important information and information I'd rather was out there from the get go. One of my pet hates is people playing dumb because they don't understand the rules or logical deductions from said rules. I like getting things out there, open and transparent.

As for why am I not worried about someone who may be an uberscum? I am worried about uberscum, but to me, umberscum are just a little more dangerous than normal scum, whereas ubertown is a lot more helpful than vanilla town.

Xyl, you and I seem to have a small history of this.

Everytime I have seen three people vote consecutively, there was always at least 1 scum in that "section" of votes. What is your opinion on the matter?

-Seacore, why can't you hunt in theRVS?
-What's wrong with a VT? VT's are a major contribution to the game.

Seacore, the people who probably got roles are not more or less likely to me town, so you should just play the game normally and question them if the deserve it. Staying away from them doesn't make that much sense. It's like giving them a free pass.

But if the vig is scum, thats an extra (non-random) mafia kill.

There are already
three people
getting shot overnight without the Vig shot. All three of those shots are scum-directed (as in, not random death).
Telling the Vig not to shoot places more value on the lynch, which all the people who don't have a say in who dies overnight would likely appreciate.
Furthermore, a scum Vig would have good reason to shoot every Night (randomly or otherwise) regardless of what's good for the Town.

That's not what I read.
although I imagine it won't hurt to just pick,
since there's no communication

during this time.

RANDOM death doesn't really help town

Vigging lurkers or players who are generally thought scummy help town because even if they're town the town doesn't have to waste time lynching them (and hopefully they're scum).

I support Vi's line of thought though. Irresponsible vigging suggests a scum vig.

@mod - Were all of the power roles that were listed taken? Are they all in the game? I want to know, because this
is
an open set up, correct?

I'm not sure where you got the idea I was going to say who got what roles but no, you do not know what roles exist in this game. Just what roles were possible.

Vi is wrong. Assuming random shots, a vig or SK has a 33.33% chance of hitting scum. A mafia-directed kill has only a 21% chance of hitting scum.
