My Rules

(blatently stolen from many sources)

General

- Have fun and play to win.
- Dark Green is mod-reserved. Do not use it.
- Do not quote any mod PM's unless I explicitly tell you otherwise.
- Do not talk about this game outside the thread.
- Do not edit/delete your posts if you have the power to do so.
- Fake breaking a rule = breaking the rule as far as I am concerned. If you are unsure of a gambit/action, run it by me first.
- If you believe I have made a mistake, please inform me in thread or by PM.
- All messages directed to me must be in the form
@mod ...

- I may add or modify rules if during the game if I deem it necessary.

Activity

- I will prod any player who has not posted in the thread for 72hrs. Players may request a prod on players if they wish.
- Failure to pick up a prod within 72 hours will result in replacement.
- V/LA players must tell me either in thread or by PM to be treated as such. V/LA players are exempt from prods/activity checks but may be replaced if the V/LA is excessive (mod-discretion)
- constant borderline activity risks replacement.

Deadlines

- Every day has a set deadline of 2*(the number of players) days with a minimum deadline of a week. (rounded down).
- A deadline extension of one week may be requested in thread or implemented by the mod (at mod-discretion).
- Nights have a 72hr deadline. If all night actions are submitted before that point, the next day may start early.

Voting and Lynches

- You must vote in bold in the general form
vote: Budja
. Unvotes are not necessary but prefered.
- If I can tell who you are voting for, it counts as a vote. I do not approve of trick votes.
- A lynch requires the majority of current votes. At majority, a lynch occurs and no further votes will be counted.
- At deadline, the person with the most vote will be lynched. IN case of a draw, the first player to recieve the votes will be lynched.
- Players (including the lynched) may continue to talk in twilight, the period between the lynch and the death-scene.
- If the game reaches deadline before a majority lynch happens, the player with the most votes at that time (and the first to reach that point in case of a draw) will be lynched.
- Dead players may post one "bah" post as long as it contains no game relevant information. After that, they may not speak.

This is the standard "vanilla" role PM which also contains the standard win condition.
Generic Vanilla PM wrote: You are an employee working in biotech at the Klein and Utterson Institute. Today is a very important day, the culmination of hundreds of years work. Mr Hyde represents the future of biotechnology and you must take him in, dead or alive.

Role:
Employee
Alignment:
Klein and Utterson

Win Condition:
You win when Mr Hyde and all other threats to the Institute are dead.

Please confirm with your rolename by PM.

He was scum in the last game we played together and I can't see why he wouldn't be scum again.

Just a warning, but I had to do some unplanned travel for business so I may not be very active this week.

Well neat. Who took forever to confirm?

for denying that getting off an L-3 wagon is a bad idea, when it is clearly the direct result of the most recent vote, and hence the voter.

Ah but actually getting off the wagon is not the point of discussion. It is your interpretation of what such an act would mean (in your words, weakness) and then your subsequent placement of blame based upon such a negative view of the act upon another player (Mr. Suave) that is in question.
Now in post 19 you vote me for "denying that getting off an L-3 wagon is a bad idea", by which I suspect you meant a "good" idea, but even there you are conflicted. If you are voting me because getting off the wagon was a good idea and questioning it was deserving of a vote (which is in itself a fallacy, I target your blame game), then why pray tell did you call it a weak move and blame Mr. Suave for it when you did it?

Unvote, Vote: Gerhard Krause

In addition to Ectomancer's reasons, I am voting you because you seem afraid to remain with a bandwagon very long. On top of that, you misrepresented Ectomancer immediately upon his vote for you, specifically in post 19, and you also attempted to halt discussion.

Being afraid of being with a bandwagon for a long time is being afraid of being questioned for your actions. As the bandwagon grows, it grows more likely to turn into a lynch, and then, if the victim is town, the people voting for the lynched fall under suspicion. Now, if a bandwagon is swelling with speed you don't approve of, the pro-town action to take is to unvote, explain why you're unvoting, and question those who voted after you about their actions. What you did is unvote, then random vote again.

You misrepresented Ectomancer by your post 19, which is not something Ecto said or even implied.

It is also scummy that you attempted to halt discussion of a bandwagon by ending it completely instead of questioning Mr. Suave for his vote. If L-3 is "too hot for you", then why didn't you feel the need to ask why it wasn't too hot for Mr. Suave?

Must I explain my RVS reasoning?

1) I said it made me look like a weakling, because on policy I think people should stand behind their votes, but I did not based on the strength of the wagon.

2) Yes, early bandwagons get discussion going, but that isn't an excuse to put them all the way to L-3, which I was uncomfortable with. I'm not afraid of having my intentions questioned, because my intent was not to let the badwagon get out of hand.

3) Obviously I did not halt discussion at all.

4) I didn't ask him because we were still in the RVS, and I didn't think it was terribly serious, just serious enough for me to want to move my random vote somewhere else.
