Haha, that was quick.
Hi! You may write a short "about me" before starting.
Hi. I'm Mole (Just Mole), but I won't be telling my real name. I'm 17, come from the North-West of the UK, and am currently taking A-levels in Computing, Law, and Psychology (Or I will be starting september). I've been here on and off (Mostly off) since 2006, but I'd like to think I'm back for good now.
Where are you from?
The county of Lancashire in the UK.
What is your best skill?
Um... you've stumped me already and we're only 2 questions in. I'll get back to you (or not).
What's your best accomplishment on MafiaScum?
Getting lynched within 5 minutes of the game starting.
(Oh, you want a serious one? Well, I was pretty pleased with surviving as long as I did in Mafia 91.)
What is your hobby?
Started playing a bit of tennis, I also enjoy skiing and snowboarding, but for obvious reasons that doesn't happen a lot. But I spend quite a bit of my time on the interweb - playing mafia is just one of the several things I do.
What's the most important thing in a friend?
A sense of humour maintaining sincerity in the right situations.
What's the most important thing in a co-worker?
The ability to get along.
Do you have any long-term project? Which one?
I wouldn't say I really have a long-term project. If I had to say something, I'd say a VB.NET strategy game that I'm working on, but it isn't all that impressive.
What other internet sites do you recommend us?
Uh. Sorry if these have been said before.

I've recently started looking at XKCD, a webcomic. I don't understand some of them (Maths! *spit), but it's pretty funny sometimes.
Because I'm a cheapskate, I always have a glance at Giveaway of the Day.
And because I like to laugh at other's misfortune (Or indeed their creative imagination and lack of a life), I'll have a glance at F My Life. (NSFW)
Best thing about being a Mafia player?
The suspense in waiting for a lynch / nightkill / to see if people will buy your ideas.
Could you please tell us a joke?
Find your own damn joke.
You have $20k and a big house. Would you host a Meet? If yes, who would you invite first?
Not sure I would. I'd quite like to GO to one first before hosting.
How would your funeral be like?
I haven't an idea. Just your generic funeral. Hopefully a bit less depressing, though.
Where would you travel first with $10k USD?
I'd be quite tempted to go to a MS meet. :P
If we're talking touristy, then I've always quite fancied Singapore or Japan. Just to see how drastically different things are over there.
What inspires you?
Being the best that I possibly can.
What turns you down?
?
What is your biggest fear?
Um... I don't really know. I don't like heights.
Can you speak anything in spanish?
No.
What language(s) do you speak?
I speak a touch of French and German, because we were forced to at High school. It's mostly forgotten now, though.
Favorite...
...alcoholic drink?
I don't really drink alcohol. If I had to pick one, I'd say champagne, I guess.
...non-alcoholic drink?
Coke. Obv.
...food?
You don't want to go into how touchy I am with food.
...ice cream flavor?
I'll admit to being a plain old vanilla kinda guy.
...holiday?
I really enjoy Skiing holidays, but for the pure fact that there's barely any relaxation in that one, I'd say your generic going somewhere hot (But not too hot) and hanging round the pool / beach.
...pet?
Cats, by far. But I've never been allowed one.
...musician (yes, includes composers and performers)?
If we're talking MusiciAN, then I'm a fair fan of Serj Tankian.
...movie?
Tricky one... but I'd have to go for
The Matrix
. It's just a classic.
...actor?
Tricky one again. But instincitvely, I'd go for Sir Ian McKellen as actor in movies.
I love Hugh Laurie as House though.
...actress?
I don't think I have a favourite actress.
...mafia role?
Paranoid Gun Owner. I don't know why. But it's an awesome role.
...mafia alignment?
Scum.
...card game?
Probably poker, but I've never played for real money. Never will do online.
...online activity?
Not a clue. Mafia ranks up there, though.
...game (pen-and-paper, electronic or whatever)?
We're going to have to go for Electronic. And it's very tricky to pick a favourite.
But I think Call of Duty 2 is still a classic.
...quote?
One to the effect "An eye for an eye, and we'll all be blind". I'm not particularly imaginative with these sorts of things, and I've probably seen tons better than this, but none of them spring to mind.
Who on this queue would you like to see here next week?
I'd quite like to see VP Baltar.
VP Baltar wrote:/in before people ask you what your name means
May as well get things over with.
'molestargazer' started when I was perhaps 13, and created "Mole Stargazer" as a Guild Wars character name. After that I slung it together and used it, and didn't realise the molest bit until someone pointed it out a year or so later - and by then, it was too late to go back, so I stuck with it and hoped people wouldn't make a big deal about it. ()
VP Baltar wrote:Do you fall behind as both town and scum?
If we're talking as in falling behind with what's going on, yes, quite regularly.
My playstyle appears to be one of permanently catching up.
VP Baltar wrote:What do you think of the movie The Fifth Element?
I've never seen it.
fallen angel wrote:How do you feel about the perfect scum victory in Open 149?
A bit gutted, actually. But activity after I was NKed appeared to be dire, I imagine it wouldn't have been hard to snap up a victory.
forbiddanlight wrote:Why are you a molestar gazer? I mean, the moslesting is bad enough, do you have to be a voyeur as well?
I figure if molestation can go unpunished, no-one'll mind a bit of gazing too.
forbiddanlight wrote:I bet you enjoi rope too, right?
I doubt it. Not that I've tried.

- I've always quite enjoyed games I've played with VPB.
- I hate having to say this, but when Mastin makes his really, really long posts I just can't bear playing. Can't say any more right now.
- No real favourite, although I think Battousai's Root of All Evil was very well modded.
- Don't have a "Least Favourite" mod. I've not been in a game where the modding has been bad to the point where I don't like them.
Kmd wrote:Does it seriously bother you that I call you Molest or are you ok with the joke? (serious question because I'd stop if it honestly offends you)
Thanks for the consideration, but it doesn't bother me unless it goes too far.
VPB wrote:Do you like cricket?
S'alright. Used to be fun to play back in high school, but I was never that good at it.
VPB wrote:Why have you never been allowed to have cats?
We can't have a catflap in the back door 'cos it's made of glass. (Or we could, but it'd be too expensive).
VPB wrote:How would you feel if your face just appeared in a Kmd avatar one day?
The amount of shock I would feel cannot be put into words.

Not if she knows what's good for her.
12Keyblade wrote:What do you believe is the greatest triumph of man of all time?
I have no idea. It really throws things into perspective when I can think of tons of things that are a bit crap about what's happened in the world, but really not that much (If anything) where there's a true triumph where
everyone
recognised it as significant without someone else hating their guts for it. Nor do I want to say something that certianly may be a triumph, but seems insignificant on a global scale.
Now, I could say something very generic like the first moon landing. That certainly is an achievement, and shows a triumph of technology and human spirit for exploration. It does seem, however, that this was all done as part of a show-off to the russians, and didn't really benefit anyone.
This makes me think that something like a Triumph should be a medical one - one that benefitted vast amounts of people and cured / prevented disease or illness. Surely that would be a triumph that everyone could share in. And of course, the immediate one that comes to mind is the first vaccination against smallpox - which led to a ton of other vaccines and has surely benfitted millions of people in the years they have been available. So I think that those first vaccinations in 1796 really were a triumph for mankind, and as such, that's what I'll pick. [/essay]
12Keyblade wrote:What do you believe is the greatest triumph of man Of your lifetime?
In my lifetime, the search for such a triumph really isn't easy.
The first that comes to mind is the formation of the EU in 1993. It really shows the European countries coming together to form strong bonds and eventually, protect the people and govern practises.
Whether it was a
triumph
or not, I don't know.
12Keyblade wrote:What do you believe is the greatest triumph of man Of this year?
A triumph of mindkind through which all can benefit or all-
You know what, balls to it. Perhaps if I recover I'll come back and answer this.
12Keyblade wrote:If you had carte blanche to mass produce one device, what would it be?
Purely on a personal, practical level, I'd produce something to stop those niggling annoyances.
Y'know, like mass producing biros so you never run out no matter how many you lose, and can always find one when you need one on the phone or whatever.
I can't be bothered thinking of a really good one that would benefit mankind or whatever. If I had said carte blanche, I'd take the time. :P

ortolan wrote:Do you find Serj's political opinions sophisticated and well-reasoned? Did you like the solo album with Darren/whatever instead of Serj, or do they really need that Armenian X-factor?
1. I give less thought to the politics than I do to the music. His opinions can really make a difference, and I highly doubt that no matter how controversial his opinions, that they're based off nothing.
2. I liked Daron's (Or however you spell his name) album, and he made a decent go of it, but I don't think he quite has the right voice. It was... OK. He would be better with said X-factor.

VP Baltar wrote:Do you play an instrument?
I used to play the piano, but gave that up.
I laughingly tried to teach myself guitar using my dad's old one, but that didn't last long.
So, at the moment, no.
VP Baltar wrote:Do you think we got robbed in Mafia 91?
Yeah, it was really unfortunate that Vi chose such perfect investigation targets. If not for that, I would say we could've easily won.
VP Baltar wrote:When can I play this strategy game that you are working on? Can you give more details?
In college, we've been learning VB.NET for my first year of a Computing A-level. Visual Basic isn't really designed for games - it's designed for simple programs in a kind of 'Form' style.
I decided to have a play around in using Timers one day and ended up creating a simple system of 'resource' collection, and from there on it's grown.

The game is a bit Tribal Wars-esque, you control a 'village' (Which you can't see! :P), get resources buy troops, and get attacked.

If you want more details, PM me and i'll happily send you some more details and a link.
VP Baltar wrote:Do you think Americans are boistrous and dress poorly?
Americans are no more boistrious than, say, the british, as a nation of people. Individually, I've known (Well 'known' as in 'spoken to a fair bit online' :P) quite a few americans, they're really nice people.
About the dress, I can't really comment.

What's your opinion of me/my play based on Mafia 91?

Do you get bothered by regional language differences (i.e. you say "maths"; I say "math")?

Now that you've heard just about all of the jokes that can be made about your username, would you change it to anything else if you had the chance? (mole is already taken, unfortunately)

Do you think it would be possible to keep a cat and not have a catflap?
Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.

Based on 91, I'd say you're a damn good player. I bet you just asked this for the praise. :P

Only when people point me out for typing it 'wrong'.
Vi wrote:Now that you've heard just about all of the jokes that can be made about your username, would you change it to anything else if you had the chance? (mole is already taken, unfortunately)
Not sure. The joke name is just part of my profile on here now, and I don't get too bothered by the jokes.
If I did change, it'd just be to something like 'moleSG'.
Vi wrote:Do you think it would be possible to keep a cat and not have a catflap?
Possible. But it would end up being a bit of a pain.

.. What?
Um. If we take the probability of being eaten out of the equation, perhaps a strawberry.

If you were a hot dog, would you eat yourself?

Have you ever been frustrated with a campaign in AoE 2 and just created a fleet of cobra cars to mow down your opponent's camp in 38 seconds flat?

Will your strategy game have a similar feature?

I didn't ask for the praise. Quite the opposite, I'm more worried about hard feelings. You were fun to share a game with.

Why did you nominate VP Baltar for next week's GTKAS thread? (honest question)
Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.
