On the topic of slow activity, however, I would move that the scum would be going especially out of their way to lurk in this game since it would actually have an effect upon the deadline. To that end, I move that lurking not be tolerated in the slightest for this game.

More seriously, the fact that hasdgfas basically publicly implied that he had a night action is slightly strange, you'd typically not want to give that away at the very beginning of D1. Any reasoning why you couldn't have PMed that question to the moderator instead, hascow, as opposed to posting it in the thread?

I like understanding all the rules, whether or not they apply to me. I ask in thread(if I get the chance), because then if someone had the same question, they don't have to ask it. I still don't understand how wanting to clarify how the game works is scummy?

In Xyl's Smalltown Plus, I asked if suicide bombing ended the day even though I wasn't the suicide bomber even though I wasn't the suicide bomber and had no way of being the suicide bomber. While the end of the day affects me, night actions have a chance to affect me as well, so I'd prefer knowing how they work to having to guess later in the game.
I think it was that game as well where I asked if there was a minimum time for deadline, which is a clarification, just like the question I asked here. Again, deadline affects me, but it's in a passive way, like figuring out how night actions work. It's not like I had a role which could shorten the deadline and needed to know how long it was.

I didn't say it was good logic to softclaim on D1. Also, I didn't know asking a couple questions to better understand someone's reasoning and to actually get the game moving in an actual direction is considered "pushing it so hard".

I saw that too about hascow, but decided not to mention it because I have no read on the likelihood of it being a town night action or a scum night action. Until such time as cow seemed scummy, I didn't think it was in the town's interest to say anything.

Basically, what you're doing amounts to role fishing, without other reasoning why you think cow might be scum.

I think it did deserve clarification, however because I don't assume anyone to be an idiot, and I wouldn't expect someone with a powerrole to be foolishly asking questions like that in the thread. I could however see scum trying to buy town points subtly.

Regardless, hasdfgas has pointed to an example where he did something similar in another game, so it's a moot point now.

I wanted him to clarify his reasons for asking a question in thread that could potentially be harmful to town when he very easily could have pm'ed the question to the mod.

Again, I assume no one to be stupid and the potential to have ulterior motives for asking such a question in the thread does exist.
