Seattle, Washington. Born here and lived my whole life here, except for two 3-month stints in Berkeley.

Computer programming.

Fooling some good players into thinking I know what I'm doing.

I was taking Lingustics 101 and sometime during the phonetics unit I challenged myself to invent a word that is pronounced with no vowels, but can still be written in English.

The company I work for has a very good mental health plan. I can use their printer to print a picture of Fritzler as long as I buy my own dart board.

- How difficult/complex was coding Xylbot? Are there any features you wanted to implement but weren't able to due to technical limitations?

"tym" would be pronounced with a vowel. A better example is "burr" - pronounce it carefully and you'll see that there's no vowel between the "b" and "r" sounds.

Xylbot was ... very complicated, actually. It started out small but grew enormously over the course of about a year. At this point I've basically given up trying to extend it in any major way; every time I change something it breaks something else.
