Ah, so that's where everybody is... wondered why the site was so quiet.
Anybody up for a War in Heaven semi-sequel? We'll start if we get 6 (I can run it with more).

The basic game structure is as follows:
  • Nightless. Fallen angels can talk out-of-thread at any time
    (it is probably simplest if you start a quicktopic thread)
    .
  • No voting;
    Hurt <player>
    or
    Heal <player>
    , your ability to do either recharges after X minutes (10 to start off with, probably less near endgame). You cannot do both in the same cycle, and you cannot target yourself with either.
  • Different roles have different starting HP. Those are not made public; damage counts will instead tally how low the person is. You can be healed a total of 1 point above your starting HP; additional points are
    wasted
    (not returned to the player - watch your simulposts).
  • I won't post a damage count more often than X+1 minutes (see recharge cycle above). I will flag players in the count who have unused Hurt/Heals (probably with a †).
    Damage persists even after someone is killed!

  • Roles are simplified considerably for the Marathon Day version
    (see below)
    .
  • Anyone trying to stand aside/orchestrate a truce with the other side will be reduced in HP by me (God).
  • Anyone needing replaced will just be killed outright. "Need" to be defined by me, but probably no posting for two cycles.
Questions? I'll take input if players want a longer/shorter recharge cycle, or need additional role or rule clarifications.

I'm strongly considering dropping the Heal mechanism entirely for Marathon Day. Thoughts? Obviously roles will have lower total HP than in the mini.

Is a recharge cycle of X minutes = # of living players too short?

This is a Semi-Open setup, with Split Roles/Motives. What follows are the possible roles:

I'll try this again, with an eye toward a 9:30 start time (about an hour from now).

If you /in, tell me:
  1. if there is a maximum limit to the time you can play, and
  2. if there is a maximum number of players you are willing to run with.
I have setups for 6-9 right now, and can probably do larger. Not sure about 5, but I'll think on it...

*LOL* The role was Ophanim, and I wasn't planning on using them in the small version. If we get 8 or 9 players I could probably find a way to, though.

::edit:: Seraph recharge time for using their flaming sword is 1.5x (currently 15 minutes), vs. 10 minutes for regular Hurt/Heals.

Mkay. I'm not using my hurt. I'd prefer to save it to heal any suspicious attacks. The recharge time is worth taking note of.
