Phily, the reason we need to get Jesters out of the way quickly - or any third-party roles, for that matter - is that when/if we hit lylo, they won't contribute much to our scumhunting. The only neutral that might help would be a serial killer - survivors generally just vote for whomever they think will end the game fastest without getting themselves lynched or NK'd, Jesters try to get themselves lynched, and cult recruiters are a whole other species of beast.

The best strategy for Jesters, IMO, is to leave them alone and have a vig (if there is one) take care of them at night (maybe unless there's someone who is absolutely, beyond the shadow of a doubt, obvscum... but even in that case, he might still be better off killing the jester and getting the obvscum lynched).

And so that nobody gets ideas:

Now that thats been established. I have to agree with you about getting rid of Jesters, but what makes you think hes Jester? Seraphim also confirmed as well as Juls that its unlikely that he is one.

He behaviour fits the description of a fool to the tee with all his random voting and strange talking.

Since this is a closed set up, there really is no way of knowing. Jester's in a pub seems unlikely but a fool in one is more probably. Just a third party to make things a bit more diverse I'd say.

We can't decide if Finch is a Fool by just assuming Knight is unlikely to pick such that role. Its very possible due to our scene's location. Locked up together, a Fool seems a good choice in such an enviroment.

Ich, you're right to point that out, I was thinking of mykonian's game I'm playing at the same time. I'm finding it hard to remember what page I'm looking at (damn tabs).

Ignore the 'locked up' & 'pub' parts, its from a different game. This is Spanish town, great depression, gotta remember that.

Oh.. I get what was meant by random now.. I thought it was just the fact that he kept turning on people. That does eliminate Fool in ways, unless the random is during wider intervals..

I never told people to vote me. I never NEVER said I had PR. I am not jester. I am not fool. You have got it wrong.

The wagon on me is definitely scum driven. They are taking advantage of an apparent weak player. This was intentional. Scum tend to jump on the newbie looking bad player day 1. When the scum saw my "play" they saw a goldmine. I have to go through who voted me, but it was just a gambit. It's funny what people do when they assume, and what scum do to go with town who make giant assumptions.

This is only my 2nd game on this site. The first ended after day 1, so I have no experience really. I looked up PR after I was accused of it, but wasn't aware of it beforehand. Don't know what the big deal is, cause at least I post, unlike SOME people. All my posts makes sense.


Right now, The Ad and Riceball's quick votes on me are quite suspicious. They offer little reasoning, and what they have offered is recycled. I guarantee one is scum. Since I already went with Riceball, I will go with The Ad.

Myself I'm from Sweden so English is not my first language and I have sometimes have had a hard time explaining my intentions, however I should not be treated different then all the other who have English as their first language. And neither should AF...

Perhaps he haven noticed that, but if he was fool/jester he should have since he will be "feigning ignorance" and actually intended for us to vote this way.

If he did noticed, and if he was fool/jester, he would have hammered himself for the win anyway. So from accidental L-1 of finch we can tell that he is probably not fool/jester.. of course, unless they have a restriction of not voting for themselves.

In which, while I was reluctant to vote for him before, i'm probably going to hammer him myself. Lets see what the mod says about the vote count 1st.

Either way, if we were to rule out the possibility of a fool, lynching him with be a pro-town action, unless we have a high possibility of lynching a mafia otherwise. Why?

Since we more or less agree that his posts seems a little random, with incoherent/insufficient reasonings, he will probably always look scummy and non helpful in catching mafias. I'm also getting 2 of this kind of players in my other game, its really annoying. Either way his posts will not help catch scum, so they will not be pro-town most of the time, and mafias will not lynch them because they actually helps mafias. Its debatable, but I think mafias would want to bring players like finch who can't really put up a discussion to bring into later days.

This changes if finch suddenly changes his playstyle, which im not saying is impossible, but unlikely.

Either way, I think it will be a pro-town action now for us to lynch finch, if we can be sure he's not a fool/jester.
