Andycyca wrote:Welcome! You may write a short "About me" before answering.
All right! My name is Brian, and I like this web site. I found it during my sophomore year of college, but I only really became an active part of the community at the beginning of my senior year. I'm currently an unemployed loser living at home in my first post graduation year, but thats only because I spent all of my money traveling the world and now I have to start looking for a job. On to the questions.

Andy

Where are you from?

Born in NYC, raised in Glen Ridge, NJ, lived and studied in New Orleans, LA for the last four years.

Do you know how to cook? If yes, what's your best dish?

Not particularly well, though I make a mean hostel-kitchen-pasta.

Who's your favorite person in real life?

I have to narrow it down to one? I spent two months traveling Europe with one of my best friends from high school, so I'm gonna give the title to him. His name is Mike.

What is the most important thing a friend should have?

Respect, trust, a sense of humor, and a healthy love for getting drunk and doing stupid shit.

What has been the best thing that happened to you this year?

Machu Pichu, followed by Mardi Gras '09

Winter or summer? Why?

Summer. I hate the cold and I'm god awful at winter sports. I went to New Orleans for a reason.

Favorite...
...alcoholic drink?
Yuengling (beer) / Tom Collins (mixed drink)
...non-alcoholic drink?
Chocolate Cherry Freeze from the Camellia Grille
...food?
Slow Roasted Duck Po' Boy from Crabby Jack's
...musician (yes, includes composers and performers)?
Billy Joel
...mafia role?
Tracker
...mafia alignment?
Town
...card game?
Poker
...online activity?
Mafia, obvobv
...game (pen-and-paper, electronic or whatever)?
Beer Pong
Who on this queue would you like to see here next week?
stark. Right on man, for sure.

Do you have any plans to appear less scummy to me in all your games?

Only if I'm actually scum

Where do you next plan to travel?

I would love to make it to Australia and New Zealand next. Currently the pipe dream is to hit up Kiwiesta and use that as a jumping off point to bum around Aussieland for a month or so.

Vi

How did you get to go to all the awesome places around the world?

I worked through two and a half years of college, and saved money by virtue of the fact that NOLA is a really phenomenally cheap place to live compared to most of the rest of the country. And my parents were pretty supportive of my choice to go be a vagabond for a few months instead of trying to start my real life, so that helped.

Pabs

When you were travelling, where was the strangest place you woke up?

This is a tie between the all girls boarding school in Vienna and the abandoned hotel in Zurich.

What's the most amount of money that someone's offered for your body?

Every time I've been in a situation where that kind of thing could come up, I've been too drunk to remember the details.

Who's your favorite clinical psychologist?

You are.

Best thing of Peru. Worst thing of Peru.

Machu Pichu and the Inca Trail was hands down the coolest thing I have ever seen or done in my life.
For worst, personally I found the street dogs really, really sad, but that was going on in Chile too so its not just a local problem. And the damn doorframes are too short for a big awkward gringo like me.

Do you like being known as the scummer that traveled the world? If you could choose a different thing to be known for, what would it be? (besides being awesome at mafia :P)

I do like it, quite a bit. Its worlds better than what I used to be known as - the scummer who went into scumchat blackout drunk. If I could choose something else to be known for on site it would be for modding enjoyable, interesting games.

Favorite / least favorite subject from your school days?

How far back are we going? High school my favorites were history and biology, least favorite was math.

Worst / best job you ever had?

Best job - working as a laborer on a salvage archaeology site in Newark. Had to get there at 5 AM, worked til 4 PM in the blazing summer sun in a 20 foot deep hole with no ventilation, and the place always smelled like a fish market, but it was by far the coolest thing I ever got paid for.
Worst job - working as a computer tech for the board of education during high school. Shoot me in the face.

If your life was a role PM, what would be your flavor, night action and win condition?
You are
OhGodMyLife
, town braggart and drunkard. Each night, you may choose to take another player out for a drink or three and regale them with tales of your travels which are sure to make them exceedingly jealous. Because of this, they will be too inebriated to perform any night actions of their own. If you use your ability on two consecutive nights, you will lose your ability to vote the following day due to a killer hangover.

You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and at least one pro-town player is still alive.
elvis

Is your hotdog caliente?

Yes, and I always use a condiment

Will newbie 743 be the most awesome game ever?

It probably still will be, but I was absolutely plastered for an entire week when VRK pmed me about starting it, so I had to pass it along.

Mardi Gras questions:

1. What's your favorite / least favorite bar on Bourbon St.?

Favorite: The Famous Door
Least Favorite: The Bourbon Cowboy

2. What's your favorite / least favorite restaurant in the French Quarter?

Favorite: Acme Oyster House
Least Favorite: There really isn't such a thing as a bad restaurant anywhere in New Orleans.

3. How many times have you been asked where you got your shoes at? And where did you got those shoes?

A few. At a Sports Authority.

4. What do you think of the hand grenade? the huge ass beer? shot girls?

Image
And as for shot girls, one of my best friends works as one (at The Famous Door, thus my love for that bar), so I'm a huge fan of her/them because I can get in there without having to pay the cover.

5. What's the most outrageous costume you've seen there?

Image
Actually thats just the picture of a dude in costume that I could find the easiest, the most outrageous was the dude dressed up as Old Gregg.

Well, there's a lot to consider in this question, but the biggest issue is going to be who will be compatible with the rest of the guests at a New Year's Eve party I host, closely followed by who I think can hold their liquor, and of course having met me in person already is a big plus.

1. You (Glork)
2. Shea
3. Incognito
4. Yos2
5. Malyss

XD

If you could purchase exactly three household items, what would you buy? (I don't care why)

A cheese grater, a full length mirror and a roll-top desk.

riot

Does your current trip to Mardi Gras rank in the top 10 of your most drunken experiences?

As far as pure duration of drunkenness goes, this is easily in the top three. I started drinking last Thursday afternoon and didn't sober entirely til three hours into the drive home yesterday. Don't worry, I wasn't at the wheel for that first part.

What was your most/favorite/best drunken experience? (Separate answers if needed.)

What a question. Its hard to categorize drunken experiences like that, or even try to specifically recall any "best" one, because they usually just get recounted when they come up in conversation or something else reminds me of a story. And believe me, there are a
lot
of stories. But as for my favorite, the Oktoberfest wins hands down.

Who do you think would win in a fight between the Hulk and the Juggernaut?

Salvador Dali

Yos2

It is currently 4:30 in the afternoon on Mardi Gras. On a scale from 1 to 10, how drunk are you right now?

Well, that was not long after I was less than a block away from that sextuple shooting, but by this point I had already finished the 12 pack I bought for myself at 9 that morning, and taken three shots of absinthe at a friends party, so I was definitely somewhere in the red zone where the needle is pointing past the 10. And it only continues from there, as this was the night that involved ex-girlfriend shenanigans and deciding it was a good idea to have a chugging competition with a plastic handle of vodka.
