The turning point
ought
to have been when Zazier and Hoopla confirmed themselves as town. After that, it was clear that three of the four of {Shanba, Panzerjager, geraintm, Shadow Knight} were scum. For me, then, it ought to have been easy - but I was constrained by my conscience. Although I knew it was extremely unlikely that anyone else was scum, I felt that the town being confirmed by what amounted to mod error kinda wrecked the game. I essentially tried to deceive myself - scumhunt independent of the fact that two of the players had confirmed they shared my wincon - but this backfired, as it led to indecision. I strongly believed in my geraintm case, though, and the fact that I never responded to him was down to laziness more than anything else.
I'm very disappointed to have been voted at the end. I thought my case on geraintm was strong, and although I knew I had pushed the lynch away from panzer a couple of times, and although I knew that the timing of the case was terrible (essentially, it meant it could have been interpreted as me pushing the only lynchable town left - I'd have been much better off just pushing the consensus lynches of Panzer and Shadow Knight. Again, my conscience got in my way, though).
I don't think I would have lynched SK without the fact that my other suspects were cleared. Hoopla had been looking town for a while, but zazier might well have been a mislynch at some point.
Town essentially lost because of poor day 1 and 2 lynches. I know Cephrir was my own lynch choice, but it was, quite frankly, a bad one - there were many sucmmier players alive at the time and I fell into the trap of "suspect the easy target". I also did not pay enough attention to his meta, instead attempting to apply generic scumtells that had brought me success in the past. Nevertheless, I feel I was able to add a bit more urgency into the game when I replaced in, so I deeply regret my relative inactivity in the later days.
Oh, also, by the last day I just couldn't be arsed to feign suspicion for hoopla when I all but knew geraintm was scum and had done for three days. I don't blame Hoopla for the loss. TBH, the game had been lost a long time ago - we were just given a second chance.
